Time Treasured.

College during my time was very good. My concern today is only about the quality of professors which I had heard about from my juniors. The placements for students should be taken care of more vigorously. Apart from that the college is good and one of the reputed colleges in Belgaum.

I have studied my Pre University in the same college too. There was no entrance exam for it. My name appeared in the entrance merit list after filling up the application form.

During my time we had given elective subjects such as economics or maths, Hindi or other languages like Sanskrit or additional English etc, We had an option for secretarial practice as a choice. Research as such was not a part of curriculum which I wish would have been a part it.

We had an UGC course as part of our B.com where we were given an on job training in big bazaar for 5 days. I have not heard about my college providing internship as that was not a part of my course.

Placements opportunities are now increasing as I have heard from my juniors. During my time placements was not so good as most of the companies who came for a campus were interested to pick students for call centre jobs. Most of the students were not even aware of placements being conducted during my time.

College celebrated many days which gave us a lifetime of memories. We had 4 to 5 specific days where we celebrate traditional day, back to school day, professional day and so on as it is decided by the students. we have an annual day function where meritorious students are felicitated and a gathering is conducted. All National festivals are celebrated too.

Fee structure is flexible. It is affordable for a common man. There were options to pay the fees in one go or to pay it in installments as is convenient to the student. The fees were not exorbitant. The sports quota and other such fields as NCC quota gave concessions to the students.

There was a scholarship which my friend availed for having an income level below a specified limit. That was a scholarship Of Rs. 10000 per month which was enough and more to cover up monthly expenses. There were other sponsored scholarships too which the college offered.

Campus is good, tough we missed a garden where we could spend time during off classes. Library has a good collection of books and a good infrastructure. Computer lab is well equipped. The gymkhana hall is good for sports like badminton, chess, carrom and for conducting college functions.

Having heard from my friends the hostel is maintained good. I have not lived in hostel anytime being a localite, but I have not heard any grave complaints as such from my friends. The canteen facility is good. The mess also provides good food at affordable prices.

The seniors were very helpful. they would come to the college to help us out in any ways possible. They have guided us for the inter-college competitions and during our college events too. They have academically also helped us whenever we asked for it.

Exam structure is sufficient to keep you up-breast with the studies but not taking a toll on your health at the same time. We had timely internal exams and a final exam. The internals covered a specific part of syllabus which made us cover all chapters.

An application form is given to the aspiring students. A merit list of the selected students is put up considering our 12th Std marks.The selected whose names appear in the merit list can proceed with the admission process of filling forms and paying fees.

The faculty during my time was well qualified, experienced and passionate about teaching and sharing their knowledge. We have few very intelligent professors from whom we have benefited a lot, who has made things very easy for us. Some of the M.com passed out students later joined as faculty for the graduate teaching.
