Course Curriculum Overview
This course is diverse and in my opinion, is for someone looking to do a flexible and diversified course and not wish to have physics or chemistry. It is basically an applied mathematics course having a combination of mathematics computer science and operational research(applied mathematics) The faculty-student ratio was 1:7 in my batch of 2022 though normally it's around 1:10 as well. The faculty is qualified and good in their subject and teaching methods. Exams are always on time and the difficulty level is medium and can be easily passed considering you have command over at least 40% of the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities provided by the placement cell throughout the year. Mostly the domains are for BMS and B.com students though for science and mathematics students as well there are opportunities you go for the domain-specific problem solvers.
Fees and Financial Aid
There has been no fee hike in my time. There are various scholarship facilities provided to needy students. There's fee concession for economically weaker sections. Achievers in any extracurricular are as well given scholarships. Also, the class toppers are given a 10k scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is not that vibrant as the campus size is too small. However, the clubs and societies are very much active and occasionally conduct various events competitions and workshops. The library is best in class and fully equipped. Sports and extracurricular is lacking as there is no sports ground. However, there is a DDUC basketball team and if you can take a place in the team you can have the opportunity to participate in various invitational tournaments inter-college matchs and many more. There are many social groups and clubs such as options-the operational research society, harish Chandra mathematics society, e-cell, enacts placement cells, Vivekanand study circle, spicmcay and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilites are also best in class as the infrastructure. There are 90 seats each in both boys and girls hostel. Having fully furnished spacious twin ocqupancy ac rooms. Food quality is also good. To be eligible for hostel one needs to have certain criterias met that can found on college website. You can find various other options of accomodation as well nearby many pg and flats as well are available at walking distances from campus.
