The best 4 years of my life

Pacific Institute of Engg. College is now merged in pacific university. So i want to say about all over pacific campus, this is the best private college in udaipur. A large and beautiful campus. The life in college is awesome.

I took rajasthan pre engineering test as an entrance examination in btech. My score was not so good. I filled all the colleges which have civil engineering branch because i want this only. This was a new college so i got this randomly through counsling. It was a college of pacific campus which also have 2 more engineering college at the same place and many other colleges like management, pharmacy etc. It was a big campus.

I was a student of Civil Engineering branch. I think that was the best branch that time which i could get. A lot of scope im govt. jobs also as well as in private sector. Other streams were sufferimg to survive that time. I didn't learn so much in college as i said this was a new college so we didn't have proper faculties and laboratories. But still whatever we got from there was worthy.

I don't remember about the internship. As the best of my knowledge i never heard about this kind of programme. So i can't tell you about this.

I think my college was one of the best colleges in udaipur. After us it was changed into a university which is named Pacific University. This is one of the largest unversities in rajasthan. So as it was a well known college we got more placement opportunities than other private colleges. But as we are from civil engg. stream a less companies were there. CS , EC or IT companies were more. My aim was govt. Job so i never attended any campus job interviews. ;) And now i am Senior Section Engineer in indian railways.

In the name of fests events and cultural activities we celebrated many events. It was all upon the students, how they want to spend their college time. My College always supports this kind of extra activities.we celebrated 2-3 big events every year. Some of them were so big fests.

As i got the college through the cousling after the RPET exam which was conducted by govt. university, the fee and other expensed were fixed according to the policy of govt. university. At that time it was feasible. Not so less but also not so much expensive.

I didn't avail any scholarship or loan from college. But i heard about it. College provided student loan to many of students. It was very good move from college as they provided loan on very less interest. Many students availed this.

It is a beautiful campus in between hills which are also known as pacific hills. A number of students are there. Boys and girls in large number every year got admission. It is a college where students are liberal and free. All things like fests, events, parties, sports etc are simultaneous with study. Overall this is good. My college life was awesome. I enjoyed this time a lot.

Hostel building was also newly constructed. So it was so cool. Hsotel rooms and facilities were so good. Mess food was also quite good. I think 1 lakh per year was the fee that time for room and mess. Rooms were shared by 2 person. PG's were little distant from college. About 5-8 kms away from college. But transportation facilities to the college was pretty good so it was not a big problem. Room rent was also feasible. I lived on rent their in city. It was quite cheap.

We are the very first batch of the college so we didn't have seniors. But yes we were very helpful to our juniors. ;) I must say, our faculty was like our seniors. They helped us in every aspects.

It was a college which is affiliated with govt. university RTU. So exams were decided by the unversity in all private colleges. Exams,labs were not so frequent so it was not hectic at all. Even our classes were not so frequent. So we always chilled out.

I got this college randomly through the counsling after rajasthan pre engineering test. It was a new college that time so i got admission easily without any interview or other formalities. At the time of admission i found the college very nice. Administration was also very good. Other institutes of that campus were already very famous. So i was happy to got that college. As i got the college througj counsling i just need to submit the admission form and fees. That was enough.

The faculty was not so much experienced and qualified. But they are energetic and dedicated to us. They gave us the best knowledge which they could give. Civil engineering was growing again that time so facultiy was also very less available. But all over we got a decent knowledge through the faculty. They tought us like our friends more than our techers.
