SRM ENTRANCE EXAM, i scored 6048 rank. i opt this college because no other private institutions provide better programs for Biotechnology

course structure was im quite detaile. Better than other institutions, Biotechnology course was more elaborated and focused on labs and research, electives are also good and interesting. i took food technology as my elective. faculty was well trained and well educated.

yes my college provides internships for PhD and masters student, college also provides semester abroad programs. yes there was particular stipend for internship.

placement in my college is far better than any other private engineering college, quite a few prestigious companies visit the the campus. the package was up to date to market value even better, the general package was like 3.5lac and few companies like mu sigma offered 5lac per annum.

the year would be quite busy with the events and festivals. cultural events like Aarush was held at national level, various local and national colleges can Participate. there were also few events which arranged according to particular branches or programs. almost every year our president or prime minister visits these festivals.

the fee structure was kind of expensive. during my time the tuition fee was 150000 per annum and 67k for a hostel, but now they have increased much. now tuition fee is 250000 and hostel fee is around 100k. it was not feasible for everyone. though college provides scholarships for those who got good rank in entrance exam.

SRM UNIVERSITY is famous for campus life, though this college is in South India but the ratio of North and South Indian were almost equal, the gender ratio is also almost same, there were such type of issues like gender discrimination or any kind of intolerance, but few people felt the there were some discrimination about South Indian and North Indian.

hostel facilities were very good, clean and proper ventilated, and approachable to all nearby transport services. though my hostel was in the campus itself, so going to class or labs were very timesaving, food was very good, u will feel for sometime, but later on it's all the same, they provide North Indian as well as the South Indian food. mess was a gool clean and hygienic.

exam structure or labs were not at all hectic. during the starting of semester after on month there will be a first cycle test, then in 3rd month of semester 2nd cycle test. in the beginning of 5th month internal exam will happen and finally at the end of the month semester exam.all the labs are also scheduled along with all exams.
