Remarks

Admission was direct admission without any need to write entrance exams. It's based on a first come first serve basis. Those who have a good grade in 12th were given a scholarship of 10k. Counselling was done for the course chosen during the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Exams were conducted 6 months once semester-wise. Difficulty depends on the student's ability to study, if one works hard they really get a good score. But since our batch was during the lockdown, our exams were delayed.

Internships Opportunities

4

I did my internship in azyme biosciences on genetic engineering. The stipend was not given. College allows doing projects under the guidance of teachers. Usually for BBA BCom have more internship opportunities than BSc. But the college itself conducts many hands-on training programmes and value-added programmes which are very helpful.

Placement Experience

4

From the 5th semester of BSc ie, final year placements happen. Many companies come like jp morghan, byjus, Rivara labs, cognizant, OG health care etc. But if you want to continue your career in life science and look for jobs in the life science field then companies are very less. The highest package for a graduate was 10lpa but for BSc, it's 5 LPA. As Many students opt for higher studies, many don't attend the placements. I also wanted to pursue my higher studies so I didn't attend placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our batch is 2019-2020, fees were feasible. For BSc (biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry) it was 65k.one with a good percentage ie above 85% in 12th was given a fee concession of 10k. And even government scholarships are also given and guided by the college.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure is totally awesome. When I have seen other colleges in Bangalore for BSc or MSc, none of the colleges can beat MSRCASC. Classrooms are big, with smart class availability, the library is very big and u get all the textbooks, journals, research paper and also availability of digital library, free wifi for students, canteen is big and food are cost-friendly. The campus is good with greenery. The labs are good and all the equipment is excellent.MSRCASC is a DBT star college so many instrumental is funded by the government. And it has research labs for life science and chemistry. The college conducts fest XTasy every year and also sports day. It conducts many programmes like science day celebration and also many seminars are held where scientists and high authority people from good companies are invited and they share their knowledge. Many value-added programs and hands-on training programs are conducted. Industrial visits are also done. Ncc and NSS are also done.

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
