Course Curriculum Overview

BA Sociology is an excellent course offered by our college because many UPSC aspirations take this course and fulfill their dreams. There will 4 CIA exams in 2 semesters per year and the Marking scheme is based on affiliated college criteria which is madras university.

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 47000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 47000 and scholarships are also available based on criteria rules and regulations. The fees structure varies from department to department, and the scope of the course, and much more can be included. There is no campus interview or placements in this course.

Campus Life

Festive, culture takes place every week organised by different departments in there. The availability of books in the library is very much high with specifications from different departments in the college. Classroom amenities are well and neat.

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures. We also have inter-disciplinary courses.

This college is located in Trichy and it is Autonomous so I chose this college and it is one of the best colleges for Arts students so I like to join this college professor were very highly talented and they were friendly to students and help us to learn practically other than books too Arts are 3 years course and you have two semesters per year and two CIA(Internal exam) per one semester Each semester conducted for 75 marks and others 25 marks based on assignment seminar CIA exam and attendance 75% attendance is compulsory for all Exam will be little created but if we understand we can do the exam in an excellent way

I choose DG vaishanvcollege for its strong academic reputation, affordable fees structure and excellent placement support especially in HR and marketing . So i applied LIBA ( Loyola institute of business management and SRM ) other than DG vaishnav college . I got acceptance from DGVC and SRM and i got regected from LIBA . I chose DGVC as it has affordable fees of 4 lakhs in total , also they are giving duel specialisations, also its affilated to university of madras , placement support and location advantage. I got rejection from liba as the cut off was not clear as my percentile was below 80 as the cut of was 85 plus. The admission process was quiet simple for DGVC as the - 1. Eligibility to apply was min 60 % in Bachelor degree 2. TANCET exam was preffed we have to submit the application through online portal of DGVC. Submit the TANCET score , it will shortlist accoding to the cut off , then we have a personal interview and final selection and documentation process...Read More
