Average College

Placement was very poor as well as facilities.College management did not take care on welfare of students. But I can say that I havesweet memories of college as everyone have.

I had passed WBJEE with rank 11324.I was taken this college because I want computer science and engineering and truly speaking that I had not much idea about colleges.I was looking for some B.C roy college in durgapur but computer science and engineering was full so I took this college.

Course structure in same for all colleges which are in west Bengal and under WBUT university.Structure was good but I feel they can put more programming subjects instead of theory.Need more practicals on JAVA programming even I feel advance JAVA must be included in 3rd year itself

No. At our time there was no internship.I heard there was some short of internship after my pass out batch.

At our time on campus placement is almost zero.only two three companies came that also below average.There was two pull campus of WIPRO and Tech Mahindra that also in different college and higher cut off marks in 10th 12th and in B.Tech.Placement was very poor.Students were gone on strike nut also there was no effect from college management.Even some of them told us that college only give you degree not job.All I can say that college placement is not at all considerable.

There were many festivals and programs were held.Tech fest was conducted every year.Freshers welcome and final year farewell and fest is also done every year. usually bengali bands are coming in fest. Singer RUPAM ISLAM was come twice in my 4 year btech.

Loan facility was there for students from next year of our admission. At our time students themselves arranged education loan from different banks.some category/cast wise scholarship was there.

Gender ration is almost 70:30.There were no such parties and some sort of groups were there.Not find any problem on race, religion, sexual orientation, politics in our time.Some times bengali bihari type of discrimination was there that was also negligible.But found many times fight between two different groups.

Poor.In first year there was no hostel.college was taken some sort of hotel on lease and that too poor.rooms were bad.food was too bad quality.In 2nd year college made hostel only for girls in college campus.Initially that was allotted to boys but after that it was converted for girls only.All boys were made there arrangements in there own and took some rooms on lent with 4-6 people.Food is not good at all.not even in college canteen

Personally my experience with some of seniors is very good.They gave good advises.There is no such alumni network but yes there is a group of friends whom are still connected very well.

Exams structure is ok.apart from semester exam,they conducted semi semester type of exam which called Mid Sem exam and some part of marks obtained from this exam was included in total marks in semester. Its not too hectic.Labs viva exam was conducted in semester only

I got admission this college by central counselling which was held in kolkata for WBJEE rank holders.In Counselling, you have to choose college and branch as availability and pay counselling fees.They called candidates as per ranking in WBJEE exam.After allotted seat chosen by me, I had reported to college and paid rest amount.

Faculty for operating system was too good.His name Swarnendu.Apart from this one part time faculty name Saikat was too good and taught us java and advance java.Some faculties are boring.But in total it was average.Practical labs are not good.There was much requirement programming in practical labs.
