Remarks
I applied through the JOSAA process after taking JEE MAINS. Other methods include army quota, Kashmiri migrant, and sports quota. The cutoff lists are available online which you can consult before applying for a particular course.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is Electronics and Communications engineering which is quite tough in its nature. The faculty is experienced in most of the subjects. Most resources can be found easily and classmates are a lot of help before exams.
Internships Opportunities
Internships happen during the 3rd year. In the 5th semester, companies come on campus for internship tests and interviews. Companies such as Microsoft offer up to 80000 per month in stipend. Companies for software, and analysts' profiles are abundant.
Placement Experience
Almost 70-80% of students get placed through on-campus opportunities. Many companies come to interview students and there is no lack of opportunity for students of each calibre. Detailed packages and placement info is available on the college websites. The highest packages can easily reach up to 47 lakhs CTC in software companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is the same as most other government engineering colleges. Scholarships are provided to meritorious students, students facing financial difficulties, and students excelling in sports and fields.
Campus Life
Life at PEC is very chill and you will not feel much stress. Many clubs are active and many events keep on happening throughout the year catering to students' social requirements. PEC fest festivities are a must-attend.
