Remarks

My admission process was through merit (percentage in class 12th). The Delhi University released cut-offs for different courses and colleges and I had to look out for my eligibility. Then after registering on the official website of DU (slc.uod.ac.in), I submitted my mark sheets and selected my college of interest, which happened to be ANDC. The payment happens through the same portal and you get a payment slip. But with later cut-offs, I opted for a change in college (DDUC). It took a nominal fee and the amount I paid a fee for the first year was adjusted. (There is a limited time after the cut-off has been released to go for this process). The whole process was online. But you may need to come for offline verification of documents. The admission process is refined in itself and needed no change. However, the new procedure is through an entrance exam (CUET).

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I chose this course because I was enthusiastic about Physics for a long time and it was always my passion to become a scientist at ISRO. The faculty in this regard is just average. There are very few good professors who really care about their subjects, have the right knowledge, and are genuinely interested in teaching. But many teachers, especially the teachers that handle practical experiments are extremely lazy and incompetent (except for the assistants). They themselves don't know a thing and always tell you to refer to some book. Very unhelpful. The pedagogy of very few teachers is great, but others just make you question your choices (extremely boring). Coming here, you need to be responsible and study things on your own. Don't rely on the teachers as he/she may even skip chapters and still not complete the course in time. Exams are conducted relatively on time and the exams are not that difficult. It's just that it's difficult to manage self-study.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships opportunities though limited offer fairly good experience. With a monthly stipend usually being around Rs.3000-6000 it is good to go for them. The roles that are offered vary based on your course and experience. There are roles of Business Management Intern, Creative Intern, Research and Marketing Intern, CUET Intern, Business Development, Customer Support, etc. Companies include Drishti IAS, ClassReady, Paw La Land, Ferns N Petals, Tradeshala, and others. The placement cell of the college manages this and frequently mails you for any opening on your college mail.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is extremely cheap for the number of facilities provided. The best part is the network of DU. You are offered several internship opportunities and side courses from other colleges. There is a society for every kind of person, no matter their interest. These societies provide you with a lot of experience in a safe environment. They train you for handling responsibilities and working in the corporate world. There are multiple scholarship options provided for financial assistance and the notification for the same is mailed to your college mail regularly. You are informed of research opportunities and tours through emails, Whatsapp groups, and the Telegram app.

Campus Life

4.5

The social life here is the best you can ever get. There is always something or the other happening in the college and you can surely be a part of it. With so many clubs and societies, you can be assured to have a very very good time. There is Kalamkaar, DebSoc, Sangyaan, NSS, WDC, Rhapsody, and a lot more. They all are very much active and each of them has a social media handle. The societies have given many national and international winners. There are subject societies for each course and they conduct their annual events, like AAVEG for ASF (physics) The building being the newest one of all the DU colleges, the infrastructure is the reason I opted for this college. Each class is fully air-conditioned (enough to give you chills in summer). The condition of the classes is very good and the library is extremely well maintained. The stairs have worn off and the top floor is not in great condition. The ground is not that big to play sports but the indoor games are in good condition.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
