DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE :)

Admission at DSCE can be done through online entrance exams like COMEDK, KET, DSAT(dont clearly remember the name, but its DSI's own entrance exam.). Additionally there is mangament quota also, but higher fees(which is not worth it). Forms for the entrance exam can be filled online , one needs to stay updated. There are quota benefits, also scholarship for certain quota.

Well, in this regard it quite backdated , considering the fact that we are living in the generation of AI ML. I chose the course since it was quite interesting, but slowly my interest gradually dipped to such an extent that i did projects related to CS branch. Some of the faculty were quite demotivating and burdened us with deadlines, some were good to be honest. One of the many drawbacks is that in ece we were taught 1990s syllabus, which made no sense. This also affected us during our placements where some the students shifted to coding like me, while others are still struggling to bag an offer. Term exams were held timely but the difficulty is above average. If you aint studying their outdated contents by heart you may even fail. And getting a fasttrack in ece at dsce is quite risky, you never know who evaluates your paper and I have seen people getting backlogs, which later proves to be a barrier during placement season. Faculty : student ratio? One prof may teach +3 subjects.

Campus placement for the batch of 2022 has been great. There were some notable companies that visited this year like paytm, zscaller,jee,amazon, juspay and so many more. I guess highest oncampus placement package was around 24lpa. Almost everybody got placed, thanks to mass recruiters(search mass recruiters to know the names). But aslo some of them got respectable offers.

If you are coming through management quota, you have to believe your daddy is rich. Apart from that , through Comedk fees is 2lacs per year. Karnataka students pay much lesser and avail extra benefits like scholarships. Placement is quite good, but again if you are through management, you dont really want to believe that in an investment of 19lacs or more, you will be offered a package any nearer to that.

You will never if any fest happens in the campus????. Fests are organised in an auditorium and you will never have any idea about the dates, or even of there is any fest going on. Campus life is great, specially basketball court and stadium.

There are two kinds of hostel, on is indian (4 people sharing room and 2 common bathroom for the entire floor). The other one is nri(2 people sharing and one bathroom per room). It is well maintained. Food? Just like every other hostel.
