Remarks
I got this college through kcet I applied for only top colleges in Karnataka for ece/cse branch. I availed Kannada medium quota for admission. It is basically for students who studied in Kannada medium from 1 -10. The admission process was very easy after getting a seat through kcet we have to submit related documents. And we have to create our profile on the pes website.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ece thinking that this branch has various opportunities. Another reason is that as I am equally interested in ece/cse I thought ece in top colleges is better than cse un average college though branch is very hard to study. Almost all faculties did M. Tech from top universities across India including IITs. So many did PhDs too. Faculties are very well experienced and teaching method is very good and they are very strict which helps students to focus more on the class. Exams are very strict and tough too there are 5 internals which is conducted in cbt mode and sem end examination conducted in pen and paper mode but it does not include any choice! Yes, you read that right. There is no choice in any exam in PES and u must not miss any chance if u know concepts very well you can do well in exams basically u have to concentrate on your studies from day one itself as academics is tough.
Internships Opportunities
Students get internships after the 4th sem. The companies like JP Morgan provide internship offers in the 3rd sem for cs students as well. The stipends offered are average. After 4 sems college will give 2 months holidays to work as an intern.
Placement Experience
From the placement perspective, PES is too good for CS. Ec students get good companies too. Students become eligible for placements after the third year. Top companies like Amazon, google, apple India, and Samsung does visit our colleges. 1000+ offers are made every year. About 90 percent get placed in the CS branch and about 80-85 percent get placed in the ECE branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
For KCET:1.12573 lakh per year For PESSAT:4 lakhs per year The college provides very good support in receiving scholarships offered by state and central governments like nsp and ssp. Apart from this college provides good scholarships for toppers in each sem like CNR, MRD, and DACC.
Campus Life
Campus life is not that good because the campus is very small and crowded but the infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are very well maintained. You can get any book which is related to your syllabus library facility is too good. Coming the annual fest the fest named "AATMATRISHA" is held each year in April month held mostly on weekends. But there are so many tech clubs that conduct so many hackathons. If u take average so you can participate in at least 3 events per week but classes will run as per the regular timetable. Students are connected mainly through the discord server.
