Remarks

Admission to my college i.e Techno International Newtown was done from the WBJEE exam. We had to fill for college according to our priority list and college was allotted according to our rank in WBJEE. After filling out the form colleges we were given a date and was asked to submit 10th and 12th paper like Marksheet, Admit card and all.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose Electrical not because I was interested but because my Senior suggested me as it was a core branch. There were two benefits as I could choose between It jobs or Core Jobs. In my class, there were 8-10 faculty per 60 student All of my college faculty members were having PhD degrees and we were Professors. The exam was easy and it was conducted every 6 months for each semester

Internships Opportunities

4

Techno India Group has well-organized Training and Placement Cells to provide placement as well as training support to its students. Internships for engineering and management students are organized in various reputed industries like DVC, CESC, WBSEB, Metro rail, Pepsi, Tata Teleservices, Hindalco, Onida etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 6th semester, students were eligible for placement. A company that hired most of the students was TCS. Another company is like Wipro Accenture Capgemini also came for campus hiring. I got placed in Mphasis and was offered a package of 3.5 LPA. In my department, all students got placed in one of the companies. The package that was offered on average was 4.5 LPA Personally, I would like to go for a government job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I was in the Electrical department. So the total cost of B.tech for electrical which includes everything was about 4.5L. We were given free books from Library but we had to return on time. There was a very scholarship programme that was held and we were informed about it by our mentors. The scholarship was not free. In my department, all were selected through campus placement. Reputation companies like TCS, Wipro, and Accenture were hiring in masses but the average package was 3.5-4.5 LPA

Campus Life

4.5

Talking about the annual fest, there were many such fests like Robo fest, Tech fest, and Fest for coding. It was all free for us like we don't need to pay in order to participate in such fests. There were plenty of books available in the library which we required as per needs and all we are free. But we had to return it on time otherwise we had to pay the fine. In my classroom, there was a wooden bench and the best part was the whiteboard in every classroom, there was a smart class projector. Various sports events were organised in our college like football, cricket, and badminton. Most of them were for inter college competition

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
