Remarks

So I went through the college by clearing WEBJEE, that is West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam. You can also get admission through JEE Mains. My Rank in WEBJEE was around 7k and so I shortlisted some colleges and some branches. I wanted to pursue Btech from CSE and my rank was good enough to get this branch at Techno India University. You can get the form on the official website of WEBJEE and the fees at my time were around 700.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSE because I wanted to become a software engineer. Moreover, I like Web designing and this course was best for me. The faculty members are good and friendly with students. Some are soo much qualified but some are average. In every semester we have to tackle MTA first which is 10 marks and then after 5 months, the semester exams are held. The level of difficulty is good enough but if you concentrate on lectures you can easily score above 8 CGPA.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of our university is quite good. Every year many IT companies visit our campus like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, etc. Around 95% of the students of our B.Tech CSE course got placed, and many students also got internships. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 20 LPA. Students from Techno India University are majorly placed by companies like TCS, Wipro, Amdocs, Capgemini, and HDFC Bank.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this is a private university so the fees are just double as compared to the other colleges in West Bengal. The fees for B.Tech CSE is 79k white is quite high as compared to others. There are government scholarships for students. But the placement cell is good. In CSE you will get 100 percent placement.

Campus Life

The life on this campus was amazing. I enjoyed this a lot in this college. I get to know different types of people be it good or bad. I got many new friends, seniors, and excellent mentors also. This college always promotes you to participate in different festivals organized by the seniors that give you exposure and the opportunity to meet new people. The Tech fest Vivarta is held on a grand level and the cultural fest Sahotsava is on the next level. You will gonna enjoy your college life here.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
