Remarks

Finally I would say that kalindi is a nice college which provides really good education to its student. The infrastructure facility is good. The canteen is average. The faculty is good The management could have been a little a better as we have to really wait for the thing we asked for

Entrance Preview

I did not give any entrance exam. Admission was based on cut offs basis. You don't have to appear for any entrance exam , it is purely merit based. However, extra- curricular like sports , singing, dancing etc helps getting you admission easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course offered various subjects with a very deep knowledge and timely exams. The course structure is good.I gained a vast knowledge of subjects like accounts, business economics , business mathematics, etc The course also places equal importance on the functional knowledge in various areas.

Internships Opportunities

I have no idea about this because i did not meet up with such a group of people.I used to be busy playing volleyball matches for the college and then studying . They offer various courses , extra-curricular activities , etc

Placement Experience

2

The placement facility provided by the college was average. The companies that came to out college only provided jobs for profiles like sales, marketing and aviation which I think was really not apt for commerce graduates. the profiles and vacancies offered were less.

College Events

2

Events were celebrated every year in a very excellent matter. There were events like departmental fests, sports fests, annual fest called Lehren. Various students were appointed responsibilities for each and every department be it related food stalls or handling the crowd or anchoring , performing and what not. Students from other colleges were invited as well to take part in the inter college competitions

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it was a government college the fee structure was quite feasible. The annual fee for B.com(h) was approximately Rs.6560. DU is known best for its education and of course the fee. The course fee range would be from Rs.5000 to 15000 annually which is very feasible for quality education in Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were various scholarships offered for the toppers in each courses . I have no idea about whether they provided loan facility to students as the fee structure was quite affordable .

Campus Life

4

Kalindi was a college which was not only good at academics but at extra curricular activities. It was a girls college with thousands of admission each year in various courses. Kalindi had excellent drama club, nukkad natak, music , dance and sports society. Sports like volleyball , handball, basketball, football, power lifting were of great interest to students but had no basketball and volleyball court at the time I joined. Well, now they finally have a volleyball court .. all because of great team effort

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facility was started in the year 2016 only and was very average with just the basic facilities like fan, bed, etc. and only the out stationed students were given the access to it. The food in the canteen was again average and unhygienic but provided a lot of cuisines. They even had the facility of fresh juices and ice-cream which was impressive and a much needed thing in the summers

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni meeting is conducted every year wherein we can interact with our seniors. The seniors we quite helpful and provided all the help I needed.

Exam Structure

The exam used to happen twice a year. The pattern was - 1st the internal exams were conducted and then the externals. The internals included assignments, class tests and presentations while the externals used to b a proper 3 hours examination with 40 marks out of 100 as passing marks out off

Admission

I scored 81.25% in class 12th .The 1st cut off that came out was around 86% , I really got worried as to how would i get admission into DU as the cut offs were high and my percentage was low. I was good at sports and i got to know that colleges are conducting trials and provides relaxation in the percentage. I went for the trials and got selected, that time 2nd cut off list by DU was out , which was 84% .I got the desirable course which was B.com(H) on the basis of both academics and sports.

Faculty

4

The faculty was strict but friendly at the same time. The atmosphere in the class by the teachers were good. They had a good experience of teaching probably more than 5 years. Every student in the class was given equal attention. The teachers used to help us not just academically but also gave wonderful advice about our career

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
