Remarks
I got admission through WBJEE 2020. The admission process is very simple as per the guidance by WBJEE. Eligibility of the course - One has to be a Class 12 pass out. Another mode of admission is the management quota, which is 10% reserved in most of the colleges of West Bengal.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical engineering as I am passionate about this field and just wanted to upskill in this domain. My core department's faculty-student ratio is 1:30 whereas in departments like CSE, and ECE it's 1:60. Faculties are highly qualified & are always ready to help you in your academics. There are two exams in a semester - mid-semester & end semester. The level of examination is - moderate to high.
Internships Opportunities
Companies such as TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, and TECH MAHINDRA give internship opportunities to students. Most of the students who worked as an intern gave good reviews about their experience. As per them, trainers are really good and cooperative.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester companies come for the campus placement. Companies such as TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, TECH MAHINDRA usually come for campus placement and approx 80-85 % are placed every year. Highest package - 11 LPA last year. Average package - 4.5 LPA After getting my degree, I will be continuing with GATE & ESE.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for B.tech is Rs6.32 lakhs. And Rs 2000 for per semester exam . Also, there are few scholarships for deserving candidates. I think fees are good as per the facilities provided by the college. Faculties are highly qualified
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest & Tech fest is Sahotsava & Vivarta respectively. Sahotsava is held in the month of July every year whereas Vivarta is held in the month of November. There are approx - 25000 books in the library. Amenities in the classroom - AC, FAN, WHITEBOARD, PROJECTOR. SPORTS - Cricket, Football, Carrom board. Clubs are basically made for sahotsava, Vivarta and our sports fest ' rudra'.
