Remarks

To get admission to university one have to give JEE Mains and apply for counselling at HSTES. In my case, I got admission via spot round in our university as I have a somewhat high rank. The admission process is quite easy you just have to upload all the documents online on the HSTES portal. When you got a seat via HSTES counselling then you have to submit ten thousand rupees on the HSTES website in order to confirm your seat at the university. Further when you deposit your fees on campus then at that time your ten thousand rupees which you have deposited on HSTES will be counted in your fees and the rest of the fees you have to deposit. If you want to have a Computer science branch in our university then you have to get under 80000 rank in your JEE mains exam otherwise you will be having trouble getting a seat via HSTES. I have a rank approx 2.5 lakh and I am unable to get a seat in HSTES but on the 2nd day of the spot round luckily I got a seat in the electronics and communication branch. The overall process is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is 4 years of engineering in the ECE branch. In the first year, all the students were taught by PhD students, in shorts in the first year all the teachers you get are PHD students and you will get professors from the 2nd year. During the course, all the students were divided into groups and each group have different timing for classes and lab. Terms exams are not at all difficult to pass. You can get passing marks even after studying PYQ with solution one day before the exam. There is some minor test that happens in mid of semester. I have completed one year at this university and my experience about curriculum and course is quite positive. The only thing I don't like is there are no professors in 1st year.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this is a government university, fees are around 2.5 lakh for years but they can vary with courses. There are few scholarship opportunities. If you belong to the TFW category or if you are a Kashmiri migrant then you can avail scholarship to university. To avail of this, you have to apply for it at Haryana state technical education society before counselling. And if I talk about placements then placements are average but improving. Last year one senior from the IT branch got a 22LPA package. Placements of printing technology are about 90 per cent. Overall we can see average placement,

Campus Life

4.5

I like campus life at GJU. We get holidays for two days a week. One annual fest takes place every year. This year's fest was organised in the month of April. Many students participated in hosting and managing functions. Rather than that if you are fresher then you will get two parties from your seniors. One is from your branch seniors and the second is organised for all students and here you have to buy passes from seniors. At GJU FEST 2022 many dances and other activities were performed and everyone enjoyed it. Overall I can bet that you will go to love campus life here.

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
