Remarks
The application form the application fees and the application dates will be updated on the official Mount Carmel college website. I did not take any entrance exams for my course. For a few courses, there are entrance exams. The cut-off for b.com for Carmelites is 75 and for the others, it is 80. There is a lesser cut-off for catholic students as it is a catholic college. I feel the process should be done a little faster.
Course Curriculum Overview
I took this course because I wanted to concentrate a little more on extracurricular activities as well. We have one end-semester exam and two internal assessment exams. The end semester consists of 60 marks and the internal assessment consist of each 20 and 20 marks
Internships Opportunities
I still haven't done any internships yet. But companies such as unschool etc are open for internships. There are an excellent number of internships provided by our college and may number of students do take up internships
Placement Experience
From the third semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, Wipro, Morgan Stanley, Infosys, etc are the companies that visit. Around 80% of students get placements. The highest package offered by a company is 7-8 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite affordable it is not too much or too less. It might take a round of 2 to 3 lakhs for us to complete 3 years of b.com. but for the other courses, it might defer. The amount depends on which particular course we are opting for.
Campus Life
There is cul-ah which is an inter College fest which is one of the biggest fests ever in any college. There are also many fests of every association. The library is very huge and the number of books provided is also a lot. There are a lot of associations
