Then Odisha government conducted a separate exam for the post-graduation exams which is called cpet exam every year. Yes, reservations are also available for students who took admission to this college. Admission is based on cut-off.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our department is separate from other departments, this university provides the best experience faculties with more than 15 years of experience, also guest faculty available for teaching, and all the professors have completed MBA, Ph.D. I choose this course to develop myself and know the new era of business. The student ratio is 1:1 (50) 25 male, 25 female. Every 6 months have to complete a semester exam and it also includes an internal examination. Yes, it is difficult to pass if you don't study.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of internships are available for a student that is MCL., Shreeram finance, HDFC bank, Vishal mega mart, Rourkela steel plant, Asian paints, Vedanta alumni, etc. The internship is non-paid. After completing the internship then the various topics will be presented in the 2nd semester.

Placement Experience

After completing your 2nd semester you will eligible for campus placement. This year 2020-2022 only 12 companies visited, out of 50 students, only 18 students were selected for placement. My plan after getting the degree is pursuing Ph.D. for future

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fees are very minimal cost because only 36560 rupees is to be paid for 2 years course when I was studying. Now fees may fluctuate from time to time. Also, scholarship is available. Various types are state scholarships, national scholarships, etc.

Campus Life

Various fest is celebrated that is fresher party, farewell party, alumni meet, Ganesh pooja, Saraswati pooja, etc. There are two types of library one is the central Library and the department library, a lot of books, journal, and newspaper is here. The classroom is well maintained with a digital board, and a computer lab is also provided.

Hostel Facilities

As compared to others, our hostel is very cheap only 1990 rupee per annum. 1st year you will share 3 people in one room after 2nd-year separate rooms will be allotted. The meal charges are separate, food is average. The meal will be changed from day to day. The registration process is easy while taking admission you will have to fill the application to apply for a hostel.

As it is under biju pattanak university of technology, rourkela affiliated soo the course curriculum is from bput syllabus and this is the syllabus where is cover total the real word application. And course caruculm is very real to university.because of pratical and other course is based on real worlds this is good to choose.i will suggest the theory class and pratical class should be more improved.as this is a good and reputation college in Bhubaneswar soo the smarts board and 3d or 2d animation should be used in engineering department course.good time for study and research soo i will say this is moderate difficulty level

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

I appeared for MAT (90 percentile) and CAT (80 percentile). I preferred this college as I heard a lot about this college from the alumni and checked the ratings too. The course structure is different than other colleges so I found it interesting. The college faculty is well experienced. The course is different from other colleges.

Value for Money Education in Rourkela

applied to a few colleges under Sambalpur University for B.Com including some private institutes in Rourkela. I selected Rourkela College because the fee structure is affordable and the college has a decent reputation for Commerce courses. The location is also convenient for me, which saves time and makes daily travel easier. The admission process was completely merit-based through the SAMS Odisha online portal. After submitting the CAF form, the seat was allotted on the basis of my 12th percentage. The process was smooth and there were no unnecessary requirements like entrance exams or donations. Cutoff was reasonable, so admission felt fair for everyone. Compared to private colleges, Rourkela College offers more value for the money. The faculty is experienced and the academic environment is disciplined. Facilities may not be very modern, but the teaching quality and learning atmosphere are strong enough to help students build a good foundation for future career or higher studies.
