Remarks
Admission is done on the basis of wbjee entrance exam. Candidate must have cleared class 12th examination with minimum 65%. wbjee application fee is Rs500. Wbjee application process starts in the month of February, and March.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties at Calcutta University are the best. Many of the professors have done P.Hd. Faculty to student ratio is 5:1. Teaching methodology of all the teachers is fantastic. In one sem you have to face two exams, one mid-sem,, and the other end sem. Question Papers are a bit tough but they will come from the respective teacher's notes. You have to put extra effort into maintaining a Good CGPA.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer internships with good stipend. Professors also help. In getting internships. Projects done in the fourth year are helped by our professors. since professors have many connections with foreign companies. We get many opportunities for research options too.
Placement Experience
The placements are quite decent. It is worth your college expense. The average Package in our department is 8 LPA. Many companies Like L&T, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, etc. At the end of third-semester students are eligible for placements.The highest Package is 35Lpa off-campus. In IT placement percentage is 100. My plan after getting the degree are to work In top MNCs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees Are quite low . Only 3300 Rupees per semester. Scholarships are only for west Bengal students named Swami Vivekanand Scholarship and many more. The examination fee are Rupees 500. Campus Jobs are quite good.
Campus Life
In Information Technology one fest is organized name Algorithm in the month of February. But campus life is not so good .since the campus is spread over only 5 acres. You won't be able to play games. And enjoy yourself with your friends. The library is fully Ac and has many books. You can sit there and can do your self-study. There are many computers for your work. Classes too are fully Ac. No extracurricular activities.
