Remarks
The admission for Physics(Hons.) was based on a cutoff of 3 subjects in the 12th standard. But now, CUET is important for a particular subject for which all the information can be found on the DU website. The application fee is around 1000 rupees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I like physics and wanted to pursue it further. The faculty: student ratio is great and proper attention is given during classes. The faculty for physics is good but not great. Though, recommended for commerce courses. Exams are semester wise and internal assessment depends upon the professors, there are attendance requirements too so keep that in mind if you want to pursue something else along with your course.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies visit for internships, the best one last year was Yamaha for AI/ML for 6 months with a 30k stipend. Societies also provide internships for various roles like graphic design, research analysis, social media managers, etc.
Placement Experience
On-campus placements are provided by the placement cell of the college. The placements and internship opportunities by the second year itself and many great companies visit the campus for placements like KPMG, WTW, Wipro, etc. The average package offered is 650k per annum. Though My plans are to pursue a master's after college there are a lot of opportunities provided by the college to grow.
Fees and Financial Aid
Course fees are only 12075 as it is a government college. The fees for various colleges under DU are different but won't exceed more than 50k. Scholarships are provided and some fees are refunded for students who need help. A fee hike is a possibility for new admissions.
Campus Life
Various events are organised by societies but fests have not been conducted in our college. Proper books are available in the library required by the courses and classes are also properly equipped and maintained. Sports teams are present and active and infrastructure is also great for the same. Societies are the most important and active in the college and provide a lot to learn and grow.
