Very good college for placement

To take admission into an institute of engineering and management, Kolkata, you have to give the WBJEE exam in which you have to score around 3000 ranks to take admission into the computer science and engineering branch or you can choose any other branch according to your rank through Wbjee counselling, which is normally done after 2 months of Wbjeeexam. Other than the Wbjee exam process one can take admitted to any particular branch through a management quota also.

The course basically teaches everything you can think about engineering. The faculty members are very helpful, particularly the ECE branch faculties are very good and the HOD is the best of all. I chose this branch because I think ECE is a branch in which you can go toward GATE preparation or you can also choose placement for IT industries, so basically you have lot more options. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20. All faculties are phd qualified and have doctorate degrees. Almost every faculty use ppt to make us understand every topic which is further shared with us. There are 4 mid sem exams and 2 end sem exams in a year. Mid sems are held every 2 months and end sems every 5-6 months, which are moderately tough.

There are a lot of internship opportunities in the college but most of them are unpaid. For paid one, you have to study a lot and find the companies yourself, though many of the students easily avail paid internships. There are also some projects going on in the college like electric car and bike making, there is also an IIC department where a lot of project stuff takes place.

There are a lot of placement opportunities for good students, and the college itself helps the students with good placements. There is a placement cell too. The college also provides special aptitude classes for good placement. In the current year, 2022 almost 1400 offers were given, and many students got double triple quadruple offers. The Top companies are TCS, Capgemini, Oracle, Adobe, Ola electric, Accenture, Infosys, and Cognizant. The highest on-campus offer was 16.64 LPA given to 15 students by Oracle, Adobe with 11 lap to 1 student, EQ technologies with 11.76 to 6 students, Lexmark with 10.5 LPA to 8 students, Ola electric with 9 LPA to 9 students and many more. There are also gate opportunities in the college, the college itself provides GATE classes. I will prefer to take a placement.

The fee structure is 70k/sem for every engineering course. You can also avail tfw quota if you are eligible. The college also provides scholarships which you need to ask the administrator for all the schemes. There is a well-planned placement cell which will help you get placement. During placement, many companies visit our campus. Almost every good student are recruited with good packages. The average package of ECE is around 5 LPA and CSE and IT is around 7 LPA.

There are rarely any fests organised on the campus, except a tech fest organised in a year. There is well equipped 24*7 library. Every classroom and lab is equipped with a projector and every lab instrument. There are not many extracurricular activities done. The college gives more pressure to study and stuffs related to study. There are a lot of clubs to join, many are run by college seniors and some by college juniors too. There are also official websites for most of the clubs.
