Remarks
For admission, I applied through anna university general counseling. I got the chance to select the college and course based on my cutoff on the first day of counseling. All the colleges under anna university will be available and I chose PSG College of Technology.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was designed in such a way that will help students to grasp the basics of the course very easily. The course was a little bit outdated compared to new technologies. The faculty members were very good and helpful. The infrastructure provided was also good. The exams were conducted in a great way to test the knowledge of students and it was a little difficult to break through. The exams can be easily cracked with proper learning.
Internships Opportunities
Almost all the students got both full-time and internships which were offered in the final semester. Some students got only internships and converted to full-time based on performance. I got an internship with Bosch and the project was to help develop a globalized product.
Placement Experience
The students were offered placements in semester 7 and each student can get only one offer. Multiple top companies like Microsoft, Bosch, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Intel, Arcesium, and DEshaw came for hiring. The highest package was 35LPA and the lowest was 4LPA. All the students who met the company standards were provided placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was normal for a private college and stayed constant. Many scholarships were provided for qualified students. I got a scholarship of 45000 a year after clearing interviews by faculties. The students can pay the fee in different time periods after getting permission. The campus was very good and almost everyone who opted got placed with internships. Top companies like Microsoft, Bosch, etc came for campus hiring.
Campus Life
The campus life was very good and there was a canteen inside which was awesome. The library was huge with lots of books and even with free internet facilities. Events and activities occurred every week and more workshops and opportunities to learn were provided. Councils made up of students were there to handle events.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel was good with very huge play ground. The room was liitle bit old but the facilities were good.A cot, table and chair was provided. Hostel food was good and menu was average which can be chnaged if requeated through hostel council. Totally it was good.
Interview Experience
For admission we just need to have the required cutoff if we apply through anna university genral counselling. There was no separate process other than that for admission. Studenta can aslo get admission through management option for which they have to pay the required fee which will vary for each course.
