Remarks
For the BA course, the eligibility is a 12th pass. After successfully passing 12th from CBSE or the regional board, students can apply for the course. The application forms are available on the official website of Guwahati college. The forms are available after the results of the 12th board. The application is free for the residents of Assam but the students from outside of Assam need to pay the admission fees of almost 2000. The seats are reserved for the SC ST OBC and EWS students. No improvements regarding the admissions process are needed in my opinion.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course because of its various benefits in civil service examinations. In our department, there are three professors for the whole HS and graduation batches, which I considered very poor, and because of the lack number of professors, the classes are not conducted on regular basis. The faculty is however very knowledgeable, humble, and friendly, they teach us in every friendly manner. The term exams occur in every 6 months and it's relatively easy to pass if you study well and also can score good marks as options were given.
Fees and Financial Aid
After every six months we got to take admission which cost us around 1000, and in form fill up it costs around 1500, there are no scholarships given to us for our financial support and there's no provision for campus placement in the college.
Campus Life
There are conducted yearly fest, in the library, we can find an ample number of books and newspapers, in classrooms, there is proper lighting and fan and well infrastructures such as desks and benches. For encouragement in sports, the annual college week takes place where various sports events occur. There are social groups such as NCC NSS run by students for students.
