My View of Atharva College

There is no group discussion or interview during the admission. Colleges are allotted by the DET according to the respective marks obtained in the CET exam. When the students obtain more marks than the cut-off of his/her applied college, they can then apply for the college with the CAP allotment letter.

I have chosen this course because of my interest in the electronics and telecommunication field. In India, the Telecom section is growing day by day so there are great opportunities. At Atharva College of Engineering, there are 120 seats and the teaching methods are adequate. In an academic year, there are 2 semesters. The unit test exams are held twice a semester and can be easily passed just by solving the assignments provided by the faculties. The semester exams set by the Mumbai University can be tough to clear so it is advised to cover the whole syllabus especially modules with more weightage prior

In the 7th Semester i.e. in the 4th year, students are eligible for placements. There is a Training and Placements (T&P) cell. This cell helps the students for preparing for the various rounds of the companies and even in making resumes. Various companies such as TCS, Zeus Learning, Infotech, Hexaware, Accenture, Minds tix, Burns & McDonnell, Ugam, etc. An aptitude test is conducted by the respective companies first and we need to clear it to proceed in the further rounds. The further rounds are group discussion, technical interview, and last but not least HR interview. The average package offered by the companies is Rs 3,00,000 and I would suggest reading all the details and clauses before applying to any company.

I belong to the SC caste so my fees are comparatively very low. During my admission in First Year, it was Rs 6000 and after that 2nd Year onwards it was Rs 4000. For the students of my caste, we have to apply for Scholarships from the MAHADBT website. The procedure for application is explained by the respective authority in the college.

Atharva College had a huge campus, it had 3 phases. Phase 1 is the Engineering College. Atharva College is the perfect place to study as well as enjoy. There 7 institutes in Atharva College. The college has maintained excellent infrastructure and a green environment throughout the campus is just pleasant to see. Also, there is a swimming pool, gym, cafeteria and a fountain in the center of the canteen. There is a nice seating arrangement near the swimming pool area for the students. In engineering college, there are 2 libraries, the smart classrooms are lavish, several labs, a robotics center (in which there is the KUKA robot and various such robots), orthodox classrooms, etc. When it comes to extra-curricular activities there are numerous opportunities. I have been the Head of The Student Council and it looks after all the committees, sports, and cultural teams. The Student Council is also responsible for the Annual Cultural Fest "RHYTHM" and Annual Technical Fest "IEEE TECHITHON".
