College That We Always Dreamt To Study In

I am admitted to this college as an NRI student, which does not require any entrance examination. The only clause they have is that the yearly fees should always be paid from an NRI bank account. The general category students do have an exam called MET.

Right from class 6th I always wanted to pursue Btech in CS, but at the last moment, only a seat in cce was available hence going ahead with the course. Honestly, the faculty members here are very well chosen and organised in a manner to brighten every student. Tho being a typical college, out of 10 maybe 1 or 2 might be adamant and stubborn but the teachers here are very helpful in terms of doubt clearing or research works.

Internship opportunities are wide open to candidates. Being more deviated towards computer department all departments are getting fair numbered of opportunities. The ones we've received recently are from jp-morgan and amazon with stunning stipends with a minimum GPA requirement of 7.0

I'm not into placements yet. But so far I know, tons of companies visit us for summer internships and placements. Personally, one of my friends whose placements have not even started is already placed at Amazon after noticing his skills during their campus visit. So if you maintain a good cgpa and have a good profile and basics of your branch, you will get placed here with no doubt.

Coming to the fee structure, the place is rather called money pal than Manipal. Because here everything you touch comes with a cost. Literally everything, you fail a subject you pay, you need to change the mess you pay. And the course fees also is pretty high but that I believe is worth what we're giving them. These extra charges are the ones that put a burden on our parents.

Life here at Manipal is the one you see in all Bollywood movies. Be it the annual fest REVELS or the tech fest TECHTHATVA every moment on this campus will fill you with memories. Tho without proper guidance it's easy to get spoiled here, with an intention to enjoy and study, this place have never ever let me down. Manipal is a students hub, so the place is always filled with students and shops with are colourful and the city air itself smells young vibes.

The hostel's here are based on your CGPA(marks). First years are not allowed to stay outside campus so they're allothed with a room automatically. But the seniors will have to give preference and wait. The hostels here range from the oldest hostel in old hindi movies to 5star Hotel type rooms. Personally i find the hostels one of tje best class anywhere. Only downside i wanna mention is the distance of hostels feom the academic sections which takes a solid 20mins walk uphill which not gonna lie is tiring.
