Admission process is quite smooth for local students. They call them according to given schedule for counselling, fee deposition and other admission formalities. For ICAR students, the process is online however they are called to visit campus for document verification.

Terms exams are mostly timely. However , they are very tiring and hectic as they are continous without gaps . The difficulty level is between easy to moderate.One can score really well if studied sincerely as the course is not very hard . Rankholders are awarded scholarship of rupees 9000 every semester except ICAR students who recive a scholarship of rupees 18000 .

Internship opportunities are made available by college itself. We get first hand experience of what we have learned in this course . We are offered various roles like quality control, marketing , packaging, management, preservation etc. We get to work upon certain projects. Internships are also offered internationally under NAHEP programme.

In our 7th semester , we have Experimental learning Programme (ELP) and 8th semester is dedicated to internship under RAWEP programme at various KVK stations located nearby. Quite few students get placed. However, our college is trying it's best to bring companies to our college for campus selection. Many students opt for higher studies or prepare for Govt Jobs after graduation.

Various financial assistance are available according to the need of students. Every semester merit -based scholarships are awarded.Throughout the course, we get many skill- based trainings .We also get in -plant internship programs in 8th semester under the name of RAWEP with stipend . However, placements are very low in our college.

We have many active groups and clubs for cultural, musical, sport, art, drama , social and recreational activities run by student union. Round the year, various programme are organized like AAU Aventine , College Week, Cultural Night etc. A Facebook Page is also maintained by our students where time- to -time the events of college is updated.

The locality is quite safe, clean and green far from noise of city. It's quite close to jorhat airport , jorhat medical college and hospital and jorhat railway station. Ample accommodation options in PG 's are available apart from hostel which suits every pocket. Tiffin facilities are also available in these PG's. The area is very peaceful with abundance of natural beauty.
