Remarks
Anyone who passes 12th exams with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is eligible for admission. The application form can be found on the DU website. The application fee was Rs 350 and the forms are available from 20th June.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of the vast curriculum and scope of the course. The faculty was excellent a very helpful nature. There were about 15 teachers for 75 student class. The faculty members were highly qualified, many were PhD and Master's degree holders. The exams were on time as per the university timeline and if anyone is attentive during the class, he/she can score 70+% in exams.
Internships Opportunities
More than 125 students got internship opportunities from 99 companies and the students from various courses were offered these internships under a large number of profiles in many departments such as Analysis, market research, IT, Accounts, Banking, auditing, etc.
Placement Experience
As soon as any student enters in 3rd year or V semester, he/she becomes eligible for the campus placements. Companies like KPMG, IBM, Deloitte, Genpact, and PWC visited and around 94 offers were made. The highest package was around 20 lakhs per annum by D.E Shaw. My plan is to do Masters and PHD after the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee was around Rs 13000 - 14000 which needs to be paid at the start of each year of the course. Apart from this, there were examination fees as well which need to be paid during every semester's exams and it depends on the number of theory and practical exams.
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest was Mosaic and it happens in the month of Feb-March. Books of international authors aren't available much but books which are published in India are widely available. Classrooms are well equipped with light and ventilation. Black and whiteboards are primarily available and a projection system is available. A number of sports & extracurricular activities continue to happen throughout the year. A large number of societies are run by students such as Genesis, and the Life Sciences Society of Ramjas College.
