
Remarks
As the admission process was conducted at the time of the pandemic, every process was done in a virtual mode. Admissions were merit-based and were granted on the basis of the percentage obtained in ' Best of 4 ' Subjects. The application process was done virtually on the University of Delhi admission portal and admission fees were nominal with an additional fee if one opted to appear for the DU-JAT exam (for admission to BMS, BFIA and Business Economics Courses).
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Com (H) is one of the premier courses offered at the University of Delhi as evidenced by the high cutoffs that have been prevalent for the last 25 years or so. This course provides in-depth knowledge in particular subjects like Accountancy, HR, Business Law, etc. just to name a few. Student Faculty Ratio is healthy with 3-4 teachers/professors per 100 students. The faculty is highly qualified as the majority of the professors hold a PhD. in their respective fields. The term/semester exams are conducted according to the exam date sheets provided by the University of Delhi in general and exams have a moderate to a high level of difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
More than 100 companies/firms came to our college with internship opportunities for students from various courses across the years. The average stipend for the same came to around Rs 1000 - 2000. Some of the firms that offered internships were Giftidy, FantomStarter, Money Mileage, Viden.io, Next IAS, etc. just to name a few.
Placement Experience
The college has a dedicated Placement Cell which carries out all activities related to internships for all students and Placement/ Articleships opportunities for final-year students. The list of companies which were part of campus recruitment included big names like PWC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Aon, Accenture, Bain, DE Shaw, and many more. The average package came to around Rs 6,00,000 with the highest package reaching amounts like 21.5 lakhs. More than 50% of the students sitting for placements got placed suggesting the high level of the candidates of the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees come to around Rs 14000 on average and considering that one can complete the whole 3 years of graduation at just Rs 40000 on average, it is comparatively cheaper than private colleges which charge around Rs 1,00,000 just for one year. The only cost which may be incurred is the hostel/rent charge for outstation students. Scholarships are also available for those who require financial assistance.
Campus Life
College life is amazing due to the vast number of societies like the dance society, the theatrics society, the Finance and investment cell, NSS, etc. just to name a few. Also, societies organise fests on their level which are also a sight to behold. The library has a vast and innumerable collection of books which are a delight to all the different tastes of students. The college also has good sports facilities ranging from basketball courts, main football/cricket ground, tennis courts, table tennis, chess, carroms and more. The majority of the societies are student-run bodies which allow complete freedom.
