Remarks

As the admission process was conducted at the time of the pandemic, every process was done in a virtual mode. Admissions were merit-based and were granted on the basis of the percentage obtained in ' Best of 4 ' Subjects. The application process was done virtually on the University of Delhi admission portal and admission fees were nominal with an additional fee if one opted to appear for the DU-JAT exam (for admission to BMS, BFIA and Business Economics Courses).

Course Curriculum Overview

4

B.Com (H) is one of the premier courses offered at the University of Delhi as evidenced by the high cutoffs that have been prevalent for the last 25 years or so. This course provides in-depth knowledge in particular subjects like Accountancy, HR, Business Law, etc. just to name a few. Student Faculty Ratio is healthy with 3-4 teachers/professors per 100 students. The faculty is highly qualified as the majority of the professors hold a PhD. in their respective fields. The term/semester exams are conducted according to the exam date sheets provided by the University of Delhi in general and exams have a moderate to a high level of difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

More than 100 companies/firms came to our college with internship opportunities for students from various courses across the years. The average stipend for the same came to around Rs 1000 - 2000. Some of the firms that offered internships were Giftidy, FantomStarter, Money Mileage, Viden.io, Next IAS, etc. just to name a few.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college has a dedicated Placement Cell which carries out all activities related to internships for all students and Placement/ Articleships opportunities for final-year students. The list of companies which were part of campus recruitment included big names like PWC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Aon, Accenture, Bain, DE Shaw, and many more. The average package came to around Rs 6,00,000 with the highest package reaching amounts like 21.5 lakhs. More than 50% of the students sitting for placements got placed suggesting the high level of the candidates of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees come to around Rs 14000 on average and considering that one can complete the whole 3 years of graduation at just Rs 40000 on average, it is comparatively cheaper than private colleges which charge around Rs 1,00,000 just for one year. The only cost which may be incurred is the hostel/rent charge for outstation students. Scholarships are also available for those who require financial assistance.

Campus Life

5

College life is amazing due to the vast number of societies like the dance society, the theatrics society, the Finance and investment cell, NSS, etc. just to name a few. Also, societies organise fests on their level which are also a sight to behold. The library has a vast and innumerable collection of books which are a delight to all the different tastes of students. The college also has good sports facilities ranging from basketball courts, main football/cricket ground, tennis courts, table tennis, chess, carroms and more. The majority of the societies are student-run bodies which allow complete freedom.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
