All round review of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

The overall admission process was smooth and was done completely online through COMEDK. The eligibility of the course: minimum 75% in 12th and a COMEDK rank. The application can be put through COMEDK which is conducted every year and the application fee is around 1500/- the applications usually open in mid-March. There is a reservation available for only the Hyderabad-Karnataka region (HKR) only, everyone except this comes under the general category. The document verification is done online through COMEDK only and is a smooth process overall.

I was always interested and physics and especially was into electronics, so this was a suitable course for me to get into my interest deeper and build a career in it. The EEE department is strict and demands punctuality, the student-to-faculty ratio is good enough and the faculties are always ready to clear our doubts and give suggestions. All the faculties are Ph.D. graduates with good experience in the field of teaching. The term exams were quite easy if you have a good knowledge of the course each term is about 6 months or so.

Many companies offer internships but usually, they are software companies with a stipend under 20,000/-. Each semester a student has to work on a project based on their branch, these are called mini projects.

A student is eligible for placement from his 5th semester. Many big companies like Accenture, Infosys, AMD, Intel, Nvidia, Microsoft, TCS, Paytm, Toyota, etc. visit the campus and many offers are made. The highest package is around 48L and the average package is around 7L. In my branch out of 120 students 100 were placed and the others opted for higher education. My plans after the degree would be to prepare for the gate exam.

The standard COMEDK fees for my course are around 2,21,960/- to be exact and the institute charges an additional skill development fee of around 25,000/- and the hostels cost around 1,50,000/-, so considering all the costs it would be around 15,00,000/- for a 4-year course The institute offers many scholarships for meritorious students every semester since I am in my 2nd year now I am actively looking for internships and the placement cell is doing their work in helping me, the placement is quite good for software branches and is good enough for core branches since Bangalore is the hub of the average package is around 7,00,000/- this year.

Dayananda Sagar is known for its glamorous fests, every month there would be some or other fest, hackathon, and workshops conducted in our college. Our Library consists of 5 floors with a basement for a digital library, you can find all kinds of books here. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and have good seating capacity. Our college promotes sports and cultural activities. There are all kinds of clubs in our college and there is also branch specific club which a student can join.
