Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties of VNIT, Nagpur are good and very friendly. One of the professors is ranked 2nd worldwide. Faculties provide UG students with research opportunities as well. They use to perform and learn techniques. All the professors have done their PhD from good colleges. There is a total of 8 sem,2 sem each year. There are 2 sessionals and an end-sem. Apart from that, there are projects, surprise quizzes, etc. The difficulty level is moderate and if you have paid attention and have noted, it is easy to clear the exams.
Internships Opportunities
VNIT helps students get internship opportunities. Just like placement drives, companies visit to hire interns as well and most of the students get PPO. I did an internship at Indorama Synthetics, where I learnt various unit processes and unit operations used in polymerization plants.
Placement Experience
The placement is really good. Good companies participate in the hiring process. The percentage of students getting placed is really high. VNIT follows one person one job policy. The highest package is around 25Lakhs and the minimum is 4 Lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per year is Rs.1,25,000. There are various scholarships available and the admin section is very helpful in completing all the steps required. There were two scholarships available for OBC students, one was a full scholarship and other was 75%. If the annual income is less than Rs. 1 Lakh, then the student gets a full scholarship under the OBC category.
Campus Life
There are three big fests held at college every year, Aarohi, Axis, and Consortium. Aarohi is a cultural festival, in which there are many competitions and students from other colleges participate as well. Axis is the tech fest, here also there are many competitions like Robo-War, etc. and great prizes. The consortium is held by E-Cell. There are many clubs and all are open for students to follow their passion whether it is acting, mime, singing, or photography.
Other Applied Colleges
Laxminarayan Institute of Technology - [LIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Chemical Engineering)
As I got Chemical Engineering in both colleges, I choose to select VNIT, Nagpur as it had more placement opportunities.
