Remarks

I gave jee main for this exam and I got 98.2 percentile and my rank was around 17000. Cut off this year for mechanical engineering was 14000-20000 rank. Hence I selected MNIT Jaipur. I was of General Category so I was not able to apply for any reservation benefits. The admission process was so smooth all work is done through josaa site and we receive regular updates for every process from the site itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because i had a very keen interest in mechanical engineering. More than 30 faculty members are available in each branch here and student strenght is also 100-120. Most of the faculties are highly educated(P.hd) from IITs and even from foreign colleges. Exams are done monthly here and they are of medium to difficult level.

Internships Opportunities

Many different companies visit for internships as well as placements and students are hired with a very decent package of internships like 50,000per month to 1 lakh per month. Ola, Uber, goldman sachs are some of the companies that visit here for internships.

Placement Experience

Placements are good and students from 6 semesters are available for placements and internships. Many big companies do visit here like Apple, Samsung, Bajaj, Adobe, etc. The highest package offered here was about 64 LPA and the average package here is 10 LPA and about 70 percent of students are placed overall. My plan is also to get an IT sector job with a decent package from MNIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike are negligible here but I must say that this nit is a little bit on the costlier side as compared to other nits. Hostel fees are also very much here. Fees redemption is given to all SCs/STs and EWS students. And also state scholarships are also provided for requisite students.

Campus Life

The annual fest here is Blitzschlag and it is very famous here and is celebrated every February. Books are available of every type core, noncore, etc. It has a lecture theatre called VLTC largest in the world. A very good classroom decorum is maintained here. Sports meet happen regularly here. it has many social groups like Zine for Robotics, DIL for dance, Coding club, and many more.

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

Placement Experience:

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.

Mnit jaipur is very good among other nit's, except some minor problems.

I had also applied to nit bhopal where i could get electrical but that was so old infrastructure and its location is also outskirts and choose mnit due to its location and social life and city . Mnit Jaipur top NIT ?

I applied to a few NITs and state colleges but chose MNIT Jaipur because it has better infrastructure, faculty, and placements compared to others. I got admission offers from MNIT Jaipur and one or two other NITs, but MNIT felt more promising for electrical engineering. I faced rejection from some colleges due to lower JEE Main rank. MNIT’s admission is mainly through JEE Main, which is the most preferred exam for most students here. The cutoff for electrical engineering is quite high, around 15000-25000 rank, depending on category. The admission process was straight forward register on JoSAA, choose preferences, and seat allotment happens based on rank. Overall, it was smooth and transparent.
