Nitish Kumar Choudhary's Review On Maharaja Agrasen Institute Of Technology - [MAIT], New Delhi

I have cleared CET 2009 for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and scored 4400 rank from General category. I participated for 2nd round councelling, and Maharaja Agrasen and Maharaja Surajmal Institutes were available. I went a mindset that if i would get CSE in MAIT then only will take admission. And finally got it. I took this college because i did some research and its placement cell is very strong and result oriented.

In IPU syllabus, one need to undergo summer training in 2nd year and 3rd year. College's placement cell organises quality training through different vendors at college premises against nominal fee. Even if you are trying to get intership then TPO or HOD or any Faculty will surely help you. I have got help and guidance during 2nd year training at Indian Institute of sciences, Bangalore. During 3rd year summer training, my mentor provided my a recommendation letter when i applied to Oxigen India Services pvt ltd. Where i recieved stipend 6k per month.

This is the best part of this college. MAIT has one TPO and 2 subordinate to run placement cell but this is very strong that during my times more than 18 companies visited college with offering min 3 Lac Per Annum to max 6.2 Lac Per Annum. Some of them are- Infosys, HCL, LnT, Dell, Lybsis, ITC, Nucleas, Accenture, Impeteus,Musigma, Mobikwik etc. Some mechanical companies visited which gave abroad posting and training. Many people having more than one job in their hand.Even i was placed in HCL and Accenture and finally joined Accenture.

College celebrates cultural fest under the name of Mridang and it has very huge participation from entire Delhi NCR. At the last day core team arranges a star night- jal has performed, Bombay Rockers. Kumar vishwas and many more performed.But only thing is they ask for individual contribution also say Rs.500 each, its on will. It has technofest also under the name of TECHSURGE- which has series of events and workshops and Guest lectures. All robotics events are worth to see and counts maximum participation. Lan gaming and Outdoor tournaments also attracts good participation.Some robotics events are- Robo war, Robo Bomb Disposal, Robo Soccer, Robo Race etc. LAN gaming gives cash price to winners- FIFA, Counter Strike, NFS College has a football team which was very good that time and won Silver in University Tournament.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is a self financed institute affliated by GGSIPU. Fee structure is of 2009-2013 batch 1st Year- 53k to University at the time of counselling, 36k to college- 2nd year- 83k to college, meanwhile university hiked fee so 4k depsoited- 3rd year- 85k to college. 4th year- 85k to college. After passing out 4400 is refunded out of 5k security deposit. College provided book bank facility for 2K for all semester in which 50% refunded after passing out. It seems feasible if compared to UPTU.

College offers 5k for 100% attendance in each semester. College provide scholarship to college topper also.Rest university schemes of scholarships are available which can be checked at university's official website.First year students have been provided with hp laptops at 25% of payment if he/she scored 90% in 12th. And then subsequently 50% if scored 85% marks. College supports in case of loans and any delayed fees.

Alumini network as not so powerful before we had to connect to them through facbook page or techbits forum. Tech events and cultural events are best tome to get invloved into it either by managing fest or by showing talent. At that time communication is so frequent and a good healthy relation builds up.
