Remarks

To join her in this college you have to appear for JEE mains exam. And above 50% score in your 12th class. About the application applying for this college is normal to go for the OJEE counseling process and do choose this college in whichever course you want. No reservation benefits are there but you can be sure that whichever branch you choose you to get only that.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

NIST was come up with good faculty members. They all are supportive of the students. Of all of the teachers, some are associative professors and some are from NITs. Surely NIST was got a very hectic course curriculum. Because it doesn't give time to the students for their personal development. Every semester is equipped with 2 assignments, 1 surprise test, 2 quizzes also final lab quizzes, and for every lab experiment, you have to appear a small quiz test.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

For internships, NIST was not that good because it strictly follows the 75% attendance criteria, even for the 4th-year students which will be a very problematic thing for students. But if you have startup ideas then its exposure was good enough for your idea.

Placement Experience

3.5

I can truly say that NIST comes with very good placement facilities which start from 3.5L like small packages to 21L per annum like larger packages. NIST takes a special section of the class to train the students about placement preparation. Yes, the demerit is that it doesn't provide any internship facilities for students but starts the preparation of students from their first year for placement. Recently in the year 2021, two students of the ECE branch get placed in the western digital company is about of 21 and 18L per annum packages. And in 2022 already many students are placed in good companies with good packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

1.2 L per annum was for the day scholars bus fees included and for the hostelers around 40k was added with academic fees. This college does avail of scholarships and has also separate reserved seats for TFW quota students means who got good scores in JEE Exam. In this quota, you do not have to pay the tuition fees for your course. NIST provides many campus drives for students and companies like Convivia, Capgemini, cognizant, extra marks, western digital, etc. come to visit and select the students with an average salary of 3.5L per annum.

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure was very nice in NIST. Separated large buildings for all branch students like the core building is for mechanical and civil branch students, Galleria building is for CSE students and LHC and Atrium building for all necessary lecture classes and some labs like electronics and language labs. Also, a Separated very nice building for Canteen and library named Octagon where can a student have their foodstuff, the upper part is the library which is available for the whole day long for all the students and faculties. And the Hostel, There are two buildings for boys and one for girls students. There are many technical and nontechnical clubs available for students with the good consultancy of teachers. Students can choose which cloud they want to join.

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
