A College Where Dream Comes True

The Candidate has to appear for WBJEE exam.After securing a good rank, he can apply for counseling process and if he can get a chance to take admission into the college then it will be a very good opportunity for him.All the application form is available on WBJEE official website.After taking admission the application fees, application dates will be informed.Candidate can also take admission through SC,ST,TFW reservation ranks(if availed).As I am from Computer Science and Engineering department and also from general category,so, cut off of general category for our department was around 4k and it was general merit rank(GMR).

I chose this course because I was interested in Computer Science background and I also to do programming.Faculty is good. Overall all faculties are well qualified, teaching method is also great.In Computer Science and Engineering department there are 13 professors. Coming to the examination part we are having regular internals and semester exams the difficulty level of examination is hard according to me.Students have to attend classes regularly and have to maintain 70%attendance.If fails to maintain then they will not be allowed to sit in internal exam.

The college placement has improved from last 3-4 years.Students from 6th semester are eligible for campus placements.There are lot of companies visited every year.The students get placed in companies like TCS, COGNIZANT, CAPEGEMINI,L&T,TATA POWER,GFG, AMAZON,MEDIA.NET etc.Almost 75% Students got placed every year.Number of placed students in Non core branches is more than core branches.Last year the highest package offered was 32lpa and average was 9lpa and lowest package offered was around 4.5-5.5 lpa.After getting the degree my first preference will be to get a job in a reputed company.

Fees Structure is very relevant and in 4 years of B.Tech program the course fees is 60000only. There is also scholarship program like Half Fees Scholarship,Full Fees Scholarship and Alumni Association Scholarship for poor but meritorious students.The Alumni Association is always there to help and support.Almost 75% students got placed every Year.In Non core branches number of placed students is more than Core branches.The placement of JGEC has improved a lot in recent 3-4 years. Students from the 6th sem onwards become eligible for placements and internships. Several top companies visited the campus this year(2022):- Infosys-32 Cognizant-55 Wipro-7 Accenture-8 Hexaware technologies-2 GFG-1 JP Morgan-1 TCS-58 Tata Power-2 ITD Cementation-6 Markle Sokrati-2 and several others For IT Companies Highest Package on campus was 10 LPA ( role of SDE ) and an average of 4.5 LPA. Highest Package was 32 lpa and average of 9 LPA.

Our campus is very environmentally friendly. The weather and natural beauty is just awesome.The annual fest JECLAT is one of the biggest cultural fest of North Bengal.Students really enjoy the fest by performing different activities.The Tech fest is SRISTI.Here students participated through different programs.There is also lot of learning opportunities and also it has prize money for each of the events.There are lot of books in the College library.Student can use the library for reading books and can borrow book from library.Different types of sports like cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball are played here.There are lots of club in college like Dance club,Drama Club, Sports club, Rotaract club etc.Many programs like Biswakarma puja, Teachers day, independence day, Rabindra Jayanti, republic day, Saraswati puja etc

The hostel is Wi-Fi enabled. There are 3 students in each room. Hostel serves 3 days vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. It is neat, clean and tidy. The quality of food served in the mess and canteen is cheap and tasty. It has a wide range of options to chose from. The college has a super speciality hospital beside it. So, it is ready for any emergy situation. It also has a vast field for sports and games.
