Everyone should do an MBA!

Appearing for CAT exam calls from B-schools based on colleges, GD, short essay writing, and PI rounds in the interviews. Selection results are announced in April/May. No reservation benefits are availed. No such improvement I'd like to suggest.

Excellent course. Gives you a 360° view of the world of business, ranging across functions such as Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Marketing. Faculty to student ratio is close to 50. Great faculty are well-renowned in their fields of research nationally and internationally. 3 Terms in each year, make up to 6 terms in 2 years. Exams are very much based on what the professor teaches during the course. Seniors also help with the expected pattern of exams. Marks for Class Participation, Term Projects, Mid Term, and End Term exams usually make up your score in the subject. Grades are allotted based on relative marking, ranging from A+ to F.

Top Consulting firms offer 1.5-2 L per month as a stipend. Banks offer 2L per month and upwards. Projects mostly around strategy, execution, and direct interaction with clients. Outcomes include delivering an assigned workstream, and mid and end review to assess an individual's performance.

Semester 5/6 is when final placements happen. Top finance, consulting, and marketing companies visit the campus such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Goldman Sachs, Avendus, Deutsche Bank, many Private Equity firms, Kearney, Deloitte, PwC, HUL, and other huge FMCG firms, TAS. Everyone gets an offer. Placements are always 100% and above, whereas some bag more than 1 offer. Plans - Working in an MNC.

Fees were nominal for my year - 14 lakhs for the entire course. Scholarships such as Aditya Birla & OP Jindal are available. Not a lot of idea about financial assistance. Campus placements are rigorous and at the same time, rewarding. Gives everyone an almost fair opportunity to apply for firms that come to recruit on campus.

November is the time for Manfest - Varchasva (Cultural & Sports Fest). Humongous library with ample books, excellent facilities in classrooms including whiteboards, projectors, mics, cameras Very active sports & extracurricular scenario. More than 35+ clubs and committees. A social initiative run by IIML is Bhavishya, whose members run blood donation, and teach underprivileged kids after their school hours.

Excellent food and mess. Absolutely unbeatable and unbelievable. Wonderful mess staff, very polite, loyal, and super helpful. Rooms are adequate with facilities such as bed, table, and fan. Clean washrooms are available at all hours.

The written test was an essay on the importance of sports in one's life. Had to submit it within 10 minutes. Interview questions were based on educational background, and work experience. Prepared by attending Malay Ray Sir's classes in Delhi. A wonderful coach who covered a vast range of topics and current affairs to help us prepare for all kinds of interviews.
