Remarks

The admission takes place through the CAT exam. You need to have around 94-98 percentile and good academic scores as well. The application form is available at the official website: iitk.ac.in/ime I did not avail of any reservation benefits. I'd like to see PI taking place for the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

ROI is great as also the IIT tag. The student-faculty ratio is excellent at 9:1. Most faculties are from top B-schools and a good experience. Terms exams happen timely and the difficulty level is medium.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like ICICI Bank and MPhasis visit. The roles offered are diverse, from Data Analyst to Product Management and the total stipend ranges from 1-200000 for most internships. It gives the students very good industry exposure.

Placement Experience

Placements commence for us in 3rd semester and there is a 100% placement mostly. Companies like Wells Fargo, McKinsey, Axtria etc visit and give about 50+ offers. The highest package is around 24 lac/annum and averages about 16/annum. I plan to join a company through campus placements only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very reasonable at around 4 lacs for the entire program of 2 years, to be paid every semester as instalments of 1 lac each. There are no scholarships provided. The average internship stipend is 1 lac and that of final placement is 16 lac CTC/annum.

Campus Life

Antaragini happens in November, and Prabandhan, the management fest, happens in October. The library is clearly the best one in the country! Classrooms are top-notch, and there are a plethora of options for sports and extra-curricular activities. The fest committees are run by students only.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are pretty basic but not bad at all. The meal quality is very good and taken well care of. Hostels are very affordable and the registration process is pretty hassle-free. The hostel fee is about 10-15000 for a semester and about 3000 per month for the mess.

Worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements of our college is good. Most of our seniors got placed in good organizations. Companies lying under fortune 500 also comes in our college for placement. And before internship each student have to go through a live project provided by the college which will help in deciding the specialization.

I Business Institute overview from the point of view of the student.

Placement Experience:

Students when they comes back from their summer internships, starts appearing for the internship interviews. The final interviews takes place months before the completion of the course. Companies like amul, delloit, amazon, meesho, flipkart comes in the campus for hiring. Many students get the PPO from their intership companies and they dont have to sit fot the final placements. the highest package offerd is 28LPA and the lowest rangese between 6 to 8 LPA. Almost 90 percent students get placed and rest opts for starting their own startups. After completing the cousre i want to place myself in a reputed company in a reputed designation, however through our curriculum i am also looking to start my own startup and work upon it simultaneously my job.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in the college as there is a new placement team hired. which is bringing the result. For my senior batch, companies like Amazon and Toyota came for hiring, and also companies from every domain are coming. The average package was around 9 LPA.

A good college for PGDM

Placement Experience:

From the 4th trimester, students are eligible for placement. There are some major companies like HUL, HCl, Dabur, Toyato and they are offering a good ampount to the students like 11 LPA, 12 LPA and also they are coming for higher package like 18 LPA. College have 100% placement record.

Comapny will visit in campus after September. And here alomst 80 to 85 company visit in this college. Likes hdfc, Dabur, icici, mother dairy, wipro, Infosys and many startup companies. And almost all student got job in campus. Last year highest package is 8.5 lacs and average package is 3.5 to 4 lacs. Here almost 90-95% student placed. In starting 5-8 years I make me financially strong and learn about market and condition. After I looking for a startup.

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. Life @ IITK

I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
