Remarks

Only engineers are eligible as the courses are towards technology. Form available on the IIT K website. Need to apply to all IITs separately. Reservations rules are the same as IIMs. The batch size should increase a little around 60 to 70.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty are top-of-the-line PhD from renowned universities from around the world. Also, the teacher-student ratio is the best among all the b schools. Evaluation is the same standard as the bTechs and teaching methods are the best I have seen.

Internships Opportunities

Summer placements are starting from September and internships are during May, June and July. The average is 82k and the mean is 80k. Other than that we have capstone projects along the coursework where we get paid around 10-15k per month. We also do academic projects which adds huge value to the resume

Placement Experience

There is 100 per cent placement for both summers and finals. For summer it's the first 2 semesters and for finals, it's 3rd and 4th semester. Finals average is 16.62 lpa and the median is 16lpa. The roles offered are mainly analytics along with finance and marketing roles.

Fees and Financial Aid

The best thing about MBA from IITs is the ROI we get. The fees are the lowest among all the colleges present. But the infrastructure provided is much better than the new IIMs since we get to use all the infrastructure present in the entire IIT and not just our own department.

Campus Life

The annual fest is named Antragini and the tech fest is named as Techriti. It is the most colourful day of college life in the month of October. The class amenities are best of class with everything you can imagine from projectors, mics etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel has everything from sports facilities for badminton, basketball, volleyball etc in each hall. Also, each hall has its own canteen, store, and printout shop. Also, a few halls have salons which we can visit. Also mess food is one of the best with cuisines from both south and north.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience:

Placements of our college is good. Most of our seniors got placed in good organizations. Companies lying under fortune 500 also comes in our college for placement. And before internship each student have to go through a live project provided by the college which will help in deciding the specialization.

I Business Institute overview from the point of view of the student.

Placement Experience:

Students when they comes back from their summer internships, starts appearing for the internship interviews. The final interviews takes place months before the completion of the course. Companies like amul, delloit, amazon, meesho, flipkart comes in the campus for hiring. Many students get the PPO from their intership companies and they dont have to sit fot the final placements. the highest package offerd is 28LPA and the lowest rangese between 6 to 8 LPA. Almost 90 percent students get placed and rest opts for starting their own startups. After completing the cousre i want to place myself in a reputed company in a reputed designation, however through our curriculum i am also looking to start my own startup and work upon it simultaneously my job.

Placements are good in the college as there is a new placement team hired. which is bringing the result. For my senior batch, companies like Amazon and Toyota came for hiring, and also companies from every domain are coming. The average package was around 9 LPA.

It would help if you had a Valid CAT score ( preferably above the 85 percentile to apply for MBA at IIT Kanpur. An excellent academic record of above 65% in 10th and 12th and a CGPA of about 6.5 and above from a recognized AICTE university/ IIT/IIM or IIIT. Why MBA IIT Kanpur?

Eligibility- 65% in 12th and 10th board, CAT percentile 85+. Candidates should have done Btech, BE/B Arch as mathematics as one of their subjects in 12th or Bachelor of Science, Master in Science, B.Sc., Engineering, aster of Arts in Economics as Math's one of their subjects in UG and aggregate 65%+ or GPA of 6.5+ from any recognizable university. The application form will be available after the CAT exam on the official website of IME IIT Kanpur: iitk.ac.in/ime/ Application Fees will be around 1200 Rs for General and the deadline will be the end of January. The entrance Exam considered is CAT only. During the admission process, college does not market themselves sufficiently and properly.
