IIT BHU at a glance

The admission process for IITs is JEE Mains followed by JEE Advanced, JEE mains is just a qualifying exam, and JEE Advanced is what decides your course and IIT; for appearing in JEE, you can either apply in class 12th or just the following year. The application form for JEE mains will be on its official site by its conducting body NTA, and its application fee is INR 650. After qualifying for JEE Mains, you'll have to apply for JEE Advanced on JEE Advanced site, for which the application fee is around INR 2800, there is no such issue with the admission process as such, and it is a pretty smooth process

The course curriculum is very lite, it is not hectic at all and the faculty members are incredibly supportive; I chose this course because it was the best IIT I was getting at my rank. There are around 20 faculty for 100 students, so 1:5 is the ratio. All the faculty members are very qualified, and many hold PhD from foreign universities. Term exams are easy, and a decent student can qualify for them with flying colours even with significantly less study.

Companies like a sprinkler, Goldman Sachs, Delloite, Microsoft, and Amazon gives good internship opportunities, and most of them are for software engineer profile. Still, some also come for Product Manager profiles and consultancy, and stipends vary from company to company as low as INR 20,000 to as high as INR 80,000 per month.

Placements are something IIT BHU is famous for, students get placed in the seventh semester itself, and they then complete the 8th semester before joining the job. A lot of companies visit our campus for placements with big names like Uber, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Swiggy, Around 1300 people were successfully placed through campus placements itself. The highest package was 2.05 Crore by Uber to 5 students, and the average box is 19-20 LPA and. Profiles for which companies recruit are SDE, Product Manager, Data Scientist, Consultant, and Analyst. 95% of students get placed each year with great salary packages. I plan to do MBA after graduation from IIM Ahmedabad

Fees are taken per semester wise, and for general male students without any scholarship, it is around INR 1 06,000, but if the student belongs to SC / ST category, the tuition fee of 1 00,000 is levied apart from this there is a mess fee of INR 12,000 which is submitted at the beginning of each semester.

The life inside of the campus is unique, with a lush free environment and mild weather; the students at IIT BHU are beneficial and social with each other and always ready to help; there are clubs for almost everything in the college, from Photography, dance, cinema, drama, athletics to fine arts we have it all. The annual cultural feat is Kashiyatra, held in January, and the technical accomplishment is Technex in march. You can find books on almost all topics and subjects in the central library of IIT BHU. Classrooms are equipped with a green board and a projector but do not have an air conditioner facility. Sports of IIT BHU is one of the best in the country, with squash courts, tennis courts, volleyball ground, Kho-Kho field, and whatnot. Social groups are SCS which is entirely run by students also. COPS is a website built fully by the students of IIT BHU

Hostel facilities are top notch with mind-boggling internet speeds in each hostel and water cooler on every floor and newly furnished bathrooms; rooms are equipped with study lamps, and study table for each student and a bed(mattress not provided), Mess food of IIT BHU is arguably the best among all IIT(s) with a special meal every Saturday noon. Registration will be done at the beginning of every semester, and the fee for the same is accommodated within the semester fee
