Remarks
The admission in SIU Institutes are done on two basis 1.Snap Score 2. GEPIWAT Process. There are three Snap tests from which you can opt for two tests(Now this year you can opt for all 3). Once Snap test scores are declared on basis of that shortlisting is done for GEPIWAT Round for different institutes. Different GEPIWAT round is conducted for different institutes. Once the gepiwat round is over you will be selected from the combined score of both GEPIWAT and SNAP score, there is waiting list too.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is vast and there are nearly 26 subjects for 1st year and around 14 for the 2nd year with the internship/placement activities running in parallel. The faculty is experienced and with deep knowledge with higher qualifications like some with PhDs. The exams are more practical-oriented approach and with experiential learning involved.
Placement Experience
3rd semester is the semester for which students become eligible for placement activities. Most of the students get PPOs in their internships themselves. in the year 2022, the highest stipend was 32lacs and the average package of nearby 10lpa. 100% of students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no Scholarships given. You can opt for education loans. As this is a residential course, the fees mentioned by me are overall Hostel, Mess, and Academic all included(17 lacs). The entire fee structure is also mentioned on the official website of the institute in detail with the fee structure broken down in various aspects.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty much average MBA-like life. Graffiti is the annual tech fest conducted on campus There are different Committees in college for different purposes and those activities are going on around the year with full enthusiasm and are extra-curricular in nature. Here in our college, Extracurricular activities are given equal importance to regular academics. The classrooms are pretty much well equipped with all the necessary amenities for quality education. The library is fantastic in our college with all set of books from across the world.
Hostel Facilities
The food provided in our college is somewhat between average and good but there is a food committee which constantly takes care of the food quality and variety in terms of the diversity of our country.
Interview Experience
Yes there was GEPIWAT round. GE stands for Group Exercise which is like GD. PI stands for Personal Interview which is more of technical and HR Combined. WAT stands for Writing Ability Test in which, a topic will be given to you and you will have to write your views on that like an essay with a stipulated time for the same.
