Remarks

The admission process was done in online mode and it was quite a smooth and well-mannered process. It was based on cut off list basically on the basis of the 12th examination results. Every college release it's cut-off list and admission is done on that criteria. For getting admission to BCom (accounting and finance) one needs to have mathematics and English as Compulsory subjects in class 12 and clear the cut-off list accordingly. If one clears the cut-off list, one can apply to that particular college through the Delhi University portal (one college in one cut-off list). I think the online admission process is far better than offline because most of the times kiosk are created in colleges because of heavy rush and made it difficult for colleges as well as students for the procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose Bcom (Finance & Accounting) as my course because I was a commerce student and I wanted to pursue my career and learn more about the same. And this course can provide numerous opportunities even after graduation. Particularly for sbsc there is a 1:25 teacher ratio. This is quite good because students can interact with faculty members one on one without any hesitation. Teachers and faculty members are really good in terms of teaching, experience and behaviour. Anyone can interact and clear any sort of doubts whether related to studies, career and whatnot. They are really quite helpful and generous. Professors have their own research papers, and books and it helps in their own learning as well. Exams are done on the basis of the entire University calendar basically 2 times in a year. It is easy to pass exams if one can able to present what one knows. It doesn't require any sort of particular book language rather one should know about the topic and have knowledge about the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

In terms of college fees, they hiked during the last 2 years because of a shift in offline mode. Colleges need to maintain a lot of stuff. But in terms of affordability SBSC is really doing well. One can complete graduation in less than they spend in a year of their school. Nearly about 30k. ( Including all three years ). Central Students Council 1976-77 Scholarship ShaheedBhagat Singh College Scholarship Founder Principal Dr M.P.Thakore Gold Medal for the Best Boy Student of the college KamakshiTrehan Memorial Gold medal for the Best Girl Student of the college DwarkaPershadSaxena Gold Medal for the best SC/ST category Boy student of the college. Jagran Devi Saxena Gold Medal for the best SC/ST category Girl student of the college Good in terms of placements avg package is 6lpa

Campus Life

3.5

Shaheed Bhagat Singh college is known for its diversified societies and culture. One can find the society of every domain in the college. Each society conducts a fest according to its own groups and participation availability. But the majority of the fest duration is in the month of Feb- Mar. SBSC have one of the biggest libraries in entire Delhi University and an ample amount and genre of books available. Students are also allowed to study in the library and really a quiet place. Shaheed Bhagat Singh college has a separate sports department which makes sure to manage the interest of the students and promotes and motivates them to excel in the field. Not only sports but also other extracurricular departments. All the clubs are run by the students but one-two faculty member is the convenor and co-convener in order to make sure the smooth working and functioning of the clubs. Some of the major cells and clubs of college: 1. The placements of Cell 2. Encode- The Internship Cell 3. TEDxSBSC 4. The Commerce Society

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
