Remarks

We can take admission by clear WBJEE exam and the other method of taking admission is a lateral entry. The application form is available on the NSHM site Yes, there is SC/ST reservation available

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college semester exams are 3hr and CA exams are one 1hr 30min long. Exams are sometimes difficult but if we study and attend classes regularly then exams will be easier.

Internships Opportunities

We have very good internship opportunities. Tata Power gives an internship of six months with a 16k per month salary. L&T provides an internship of two years with a 12k stipend. Tata Power and GE power are having projects to provide power generation to India. Midsole Limited does Mining work.

Placement Experience

Our college placement rating is high some of our seniors are placed for jobs in very good companies. The highest package is 8 lakh and the average package is 4.5 lakh per Annum. 99% of students get placements. My plans after getting the degree are to get a job in a very good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 195000 yearly wise and 213000 semester-wise. We can get the SVMCM scholarship and ASJ scholarship. College gives the best opportunity for the scholarship. we have the best scholarship opportunities.

Campus Life

The Campus life is very good. We have an annual fest and tech fest every year. In Our Library, we have many books for our courses and to gain more knowledge. On our campus, we can play many sports cricket football tennis.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

A Nurturing Place to Learn and Thrive

I decided to take up Clinical Psychology over Applied Psychology for my Master's. I searched for colleges and Universities near my home town Durgapur. Most of the colleges offer an M.A. or M.Sc. in Applied Psychology. NSHM Durgapur and Kolkata offer M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology.
