Hectic life but worth it

At my time admission procedure was online. Imucet was called off. We had an online entrance test which they call TMISAT. After passing it we had an online interview in which they asked personal questions plus questions on physics, maths and basic English.

Facilities are the best part of this college. Many faculties are there with experience of more than 20 years and their many faculties who have shipping experience too We have cheif engineer, second engineer, captains too as our faculties. Really blessed to have these kind of faculties

From semester 3 you are eligible for campus placements. For BTech only one or two companies are there in 3rd and 4th semester but for BSc nautical science there's really nice placement. Placement record was not good during covid years but now conditions are improving and I think there will be 100% placement for 4th year this time

Fees is major con. But it's worth it. There's financial assistance to topers. I think fees could have low as compared to other marine colleges but when I see their I feel relieved that I have not chosen them.

No social life at all. You get liberty for 2 days in a week i.e. on sat and sun. Out which there is half on Saturday so you have to do you classes till 12.40 then you can proceed to liberty and then you have to come back before 2145 hrs (night muster).

In room there is double occupancy. There's almost every basic thing you need. About mess , in first you will think that food really nice and it's nice but when it will keep repeating every week you'll be fed up. There are days when food is really good. There's no day boarding if you are living in Pune still you have to stay in hostel.

There was one written test and personal interview. For both I prepared by my grade 11th and 12th books and it was a basic test. Anyone with basic +2 knowledge can pass through it. For personal interview I concentrated on English communication skills
