Remarks
For admission, I took JEE mains exam. The exam form can be downloaded from the official JEE mains website. Reservation benefits are not availed. It would be better if the results were declared sooner because they took a lot of time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the Computer Science and Engineering course. I chose it as it is the best performing branch in the college. The student-teacher ratio is about 70:1. The faculty is well versed with the technologies and are MTech and Ph.D. people. The exams were conducted twice every year: mid-sem and end-sem. The exam difficulty would be average because most questions were coming from notes.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are quite less in the college. Very few companies like Dell, Vedanta, and Aptus Data labs come for internships and they give stipends ranging from 5000 to 25000 per month. The roles offered are software development intern The projects are generally related to software development, AI training, etc. One has to get a good rating in the internship to get a PPO.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, the student becomes eligible for placements. Major companies like Dell, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, TurtleMint, Tekion corp, etc. with packages ranging from 2L to 12 LPA. Avg. Package was 3 LPA and the top package was 12 LPA. 95% of students are placed. I will work at Dell as a software engineer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy is communicated to the students from time to time over email. The total cost to study is around 8 lakhs for 4 years along with personal expenses. There are various scholarship opportunities for students like Medhabruti, Prerna, etc. I got placement in Dell with a pay of 7.5L per annum.
Campus Life
The annual tech-cultural fest called Advaita is organized every year with great pomp and show. It is organized in February. Many people from various colleges come to take part in competitions organized and to see artists perform. Ample books and journals are present in the library. Online subscriptions to major publications like IEEE are available for free. There is a sports society that conducts Football and cricket tournaments. Various clubs like society, Veritasium, and ACM are present which offer technical and cultural avenues to students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility was ok. Bed and cupboard were provided in each room. Washing machines were provided in each alternate floor. A lift facility was also present. The meal quality was average. Breakfast was generally good but lunch and dinner were not up to the mark. Though hostel is affordable, the mess food quality makes it a miss. I stayed in college hostel itself which was located in campus.
