Remarks

I got admission to NIT Rourkela in 2020. I was selected via Jee Mains examination which provides us with some category reservations too. One should have scored above 75% in the 12th class for clearing its eligibility criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the ECE stream as my BTech curriculum cause of its evergreen nature. In the NITR department faculty to student ratio is around 15:1. We have well-qualified and highly experienced faculty. In one semester we have 2 types of major exams other than class tests and viva's. one is mid sem conducted in every semester in its mid-time period with a duly covered syllabus and at the end of the semester we have end-semester exams which cover our whole semester syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

While we are offed placements companies do visit with a parallel community for internships too. All major companies visit for internships also, we face some issues regarding 6-month internships but that will be resolved after 2022.

Placement Experience

Placement of our collage is excellent, day by day increasing number, breaking records of every previous year. Circutial branches have 100% placement with an avg package of 20LPA+. the avg package of NITR is 12Lpa, which is increasing gradually.

Fees and Financial Aid

we have a moderate fee structure compared to other institutes' high fee burdens. A total amount of 99,000Rs is charged for a single semester which covers tuition, mess, hostel and all other charges. we can avail of plenty of scholarships as per our eligibility criteria like FFE.

Campus Life

NITR campus is the second largest campus in India with 1200 acres of land coverage. A full green lush and well maintained campus with all requirements of our academics as well as scholars avenue, and sports activity. we have separate full-sized grounds for all sports like cricket, football, badminton, basketball, etc. For water sports, like swimming, we have Olympic size pool also.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are quite standard on our campus. we have a total of 12 hostels. all the rooms are double occupied with sufficient spacing. It is compulsory to reside in hostels until you are with special permission from the chief warden. hotel mess food is quite goot, but we have palenty of day and night canteen which serves us good food.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
