Review for IIT BHU

To enter into IITs, one needs to take jee advanced, and so did I. I took jee advanced in 2021. To apply for JEE advanced one needs to be in class 12th and should have cleared jee mains cutoff. The application form for the mains is available online and can be found easily. It has 2 attempts in a single year with a span of one or two months, and the best score out of the 2 attempts is considered for the result. The application fee for one attempt is 500 or something around that. Applications close around 1 month before the exam date. EWS has 10 % reservations in the iits, but that doesn't help too much, as most of the people have got it. The closing rank for the EWS people will go down by 2k rank as compared to the general closing rank and hence marks the difference is low. You need to score kind of the same as compared with your general peeps to get a good seat in the iits overall. According to me, there is no need for any improvements in the admission process as of now. The process is good.

I choose this course because of my rank in the Jee advance. There was no specific reason for that. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:20 . Most of the profs are foreign returns and have done their Ph.D. from some foreign universities. Some of the profs are good while some of them don't make that much effort in teaching. The term exams are regular and it is quite moderately tough and can be passed easily.

For the sde profile, google, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. Supply chain companies offering internships are PnG and HUL, they all give 150000 as the stipend. The projects that help to clear internships should be solving some real-world problems.

Students studying in the 8th or last semester are eligible to sit for the placements if they don't have any backlogs. Around 200 companies last time to the campus to recruit students. They offered jobs to around 800 or more undergraduate students. The highest international package is 2 cr while the highest domestic package is around 1 cr for the sde profile. The average package is around 18 LPA. Most students are easily placed in those who sit for the placements. I will work as a data scientist after my graduation.

For the general students, the fee for a semester is around 1 lac and they have to pay for the mess fee as well. While students having family income between 2 to 5 lac enjoy a 2/3rd fee waiver while the students in sc/st quota enjoy a much more fee waiver from the government.

The annual cultural fest in my college is KASHIYATRA. while the annual technical fest is TECHNEX. Kashiyatra is held usually in January while technex is held in February. The library has many books and journals, one can easily find books of any genre in the library. Some classrooms are AC equipped while some are not. The bigger classroom has speakers. But talking about classrooms the amenities provided are rudimentary. We have the facility of playing almost every sport we can think of. We have got a newly constructed student activity center for all the indoor games and the gym. There are many clubs in the college, and I am active in the biz, scs, and sochem.

We live 3 people in a single room, it is quite spacious to accommodate us all. We have a ceiling fan, two mercury LEDs, 2 lamps, and 2 study lamps as well . The mess food is quite good and up to the mark. The menu keeps changing here. The registration process is quite chill and they ask for certain documents for the same. One can easily get a room without any hustle.
