Actually, this course is in high demand nowadays and have a very good scope that's why I have chosen this course and my passion for computer. also attracted me to this course. faculty:student = 1:60 Faculties are well qualified.

Yeah, the college will give you the opportunity of placements in the third year, which is good, and students from my batches are also freelancing in the skills they learned in the course time so we computer engineers are never bounded.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the course I'm doing is 3.75 lakh but as I'm a citizen of west Bengal, I got a scholarship that helped me a lot with my course fee payment. Even if you are not a citizen of Bengal there are many scholarships for you.

Campus Life

Yeah in this matter my college is always one step ahead, students got very excited when any type of event was discussed as they are on a holiday of 4 years here. Sports also happen in a nice way here. There are also clubs and groups made for the students to help them in the personality development.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I feel proud being a student of Gmit

Our college campus is fully green campus. All teachers and faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. All the classrooms are well groomed. Library is very good. All types of books are available in our library. Semester fees is comfortable for all types of students. Admission process is very easy. All types of scholarship are available for all students. Laboratories are decorated by updated instruments. Gym is available in our college. Playground is very clean. Many outdoor games (like: Football, Cricket, badminton etc.) and indoor games (like: chess, caram etc.) are available in our campus. 24Ã—7 hours electricity and water are available.
