Reality of SIT!!

The admission process at this college is quite simple. To get admission to this college you must opt for wbjee or jee mains. After the exam, there is counseling in which you have to have chosen this college from the given colleges. for admission, you must carry your adhar card main or wbjee score card and class 10, and 12 mark sheet along with a transfer certificate and character certificate. you can get the application form from the main website of SIT college. 300 is the application fee required. if you have a domicile certificate from West Bengal then you get the benefit of a fee reduction which is very less than the total fees. minimum of 60% is required in classes 10 and 12 to get admission to this college. overall the admission process at this college is smooth.

As now days I see a boost in tech. I choose computer science engineering. so there are around 400 faculty member in this college and students are around 400(only Btech). The facilities members are not that good , their way of teaching is not much understandable. They mostly talk in the Bengali language in class which is again one difficulty for other students who are from different states .so there is a total of 4 internals before the end sem. Internal papers are quite normal but the end-sem paper is a little tough if you have not studied. Internals are taken at the interval of 1 and a half months. Internals are 25 marks. And the end sem is of 70 marks. The practical classes in this college are quite good.

The students are eligible from from 5th semester if he or she is having any skills. Lot of companies visits the campus like capmegini macfee, Amazon, TCS, Accenture and so on. Only 2 offers is made . average package likes around 3.5 lakhs and highest around 15 lakhs.if the students resume is good filled with skills then he or she land in getting a good package. CSE and IT are mostly placed. ECE few of them are placed and other branches few members are placed. I will be preparing for GATE exam after the degree with my working in any company if get placed .

The complete Btech fees of this college are around 550000 lakh approx (all branches). The fees are to be paid before the end sem exam. The return on investment is not so good. You spend a total fee of 500000 lakhs and you get a job of around 3.5 or 2.5 lakh. the college does not provide any scholarships, and the internship opportunities provided are very less.CSE department almost all students get placement on an average of 3.5 lakh. And highest around 15 lakh.

The feat which is conducted in this college is quite large and great. many tech fest are conducted in the college. The annual fest is mostly conducted in the month of April . The availability of books and journals is not so vast in this college. The mostly provide books for sem exams and regular classes. Good books are not available in this library. They will hardly give you an extra book apart from your streams. the classroom is quite big. There are very less smart rooms in this college. The seminar hall is quite small. there are a lot of clubs in this college apart from which many clubs are inactive. Very few are regularly updated.
