Remarks
As it is a private university, you can get admission to any course. But some criteria are there, your 10th and 12th marks should be more than 40-50%(Depending upon the college). In Btech you can get admission in 3 ways - CGET(the university's entrance exam), OJEE, and JEE mains. You can find every detail of the college on the university website (cgu-Odisha.ac.in), you can get every information about the admission date, application, fee structure, etc. The admission process is very easy and hectic free. You can pay the fee offline as well as online.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have so much interest in science and technology, knowing about how computer works, coding, etc. That's why I have taken computer science. In our university, every 20 students got 1 faculty member as a mentor who helps in every situation in our academic as well as in life problems. Most of the teachers are professors and Ph.D. In every semester we have 1 mid sem and 1 end sem, and it's not that difficult to pass.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year students who are eligible for campus placements, most companies recruit mass students like TCS and Wipro. Other companies are cognizant, IBM, Accenture, on-campus Amazon, etc. 80-90% of students get placed here. I am preparing for off-campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the Btech course is 175000 only. There are many scholarship opportunities one of them is Medhnabati, all the details you can get through the college website or in the DSW office which is inside the campus. There is a proper company that is inside the campus which provides loans. Many companies come for campus placement TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc.
Campus Life
The annual fest of our university is CELEGANCE, many function also happens like Roshni night on Diwali, freshers' party, and many more. There is a huge library of all kinds of books from technical to nontechnical many sports events cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, chess, table tennis, etc. You also join our Anubhuti club in which you can participate in dance, drama, nukkad Natak, singing competitions, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 boys hostels and 1 huge girls hostel and 1 international hostel. The meals are quite good except for 1-2 days. You can get both veg and non-veg option. Sunday's menu is dosa in the morning, biryani in the afternoon, and egg curry at night. Room pricing starts from 77000 - 97000, you can also get an AC room after paying some extra money.
