Remarks

I have studied diploma course from this college and hence my admission procedure was slightly different than other degree students. There is a separate exam conducted by the college known as the SET exam which is a short form of slight entrance test. This test is conducted on an India basis. All the students who have cleared diplomas from this college have to appear for the SET exam. The final result decides the rank of the student and based on this rank and previous performance of the student, one is allotted a suitable branch in the degree program in this college. I was allotted Instrumentation & Control Engineering branch in this institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it facilitates the student to receive maximum knowledge as well as maximum experience of the industry they would be working in the upcoming future after graduation. The faculty members are experienced professionals of the respective industry and also scholars in the respective field of what they are teaching. They teach in such a way that the doubts of the student get eradicated from their roots.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunity from this college is decent. More than 150 companies visit this college every year for providing placement opportunities. Students become eligible for attempting the placements procedure in the third year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of this institution is such that it is very easily affordable for the students. The fee for degree programs is merely 31000 per semester plus the hostel fee which is 3500 per semester. Since this college is a government institution, acquiring scholarships through this institution is very easy. Students can easily avail different types of government and private scholarships through this college.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
