Vit takes admission on both bases. On jee mains and viteee exam ( their own entrance exam) . Through jee mains you have to score above 92 percentile to get admission in cse btech and in viteee exam you have to score a decent score to get a rank according to which your status will be awarded. Though your result is not disclose just your position is given. Their ranking system is just pathetic. Overall VITEEE exam is easy but you have to solve 125 questions just in 90 mins which comparise of 35 maths 35 chem 35 phy 10 English 10 aptitude .

I choose cse. Because it has better job opportunities and will be a growing sector in upcoming years. Here faculty students ratio given on their website is 1:8 but when you came to this college then you know about its reality . It had more than 60+ students in a single class . Quality of faculty is average some are good some are worst . And here there is a little bit of discrimination amongst tamil and hindi people. Exams are held every mouth in the form of CAT , PAT , FAT ,DA etc. Fat are the final assessment exams.

Cisco, Wipro, inforsys, and Microsoft are regular intership providers . Microsoft gives 70000 per month at time of intership . Sprankler gives 1,50,000 stripend . Many companies provide internship . And for you knowledge without doing any of the intership you are not allowed to take degree . Training is necessary to get a degree.

From the third semester, students became eligible for placement . More than 750+ companies visited previous year with many super dream offers . More than 250+ students got dream package . Company like diaot , cisco , google , amazon, swiggy , zomato , paytm .etc comes every year. Highest package last year was 1 crore offered to 2 of our third year students and lowest package offered was 3.6 lpa. Placement percentage is 99% I am trying to get a decent package of nearly 12-15 lpa .

Fees vary from 1.75 lakhs to 5 lakhs per year according to your category. There are total five categories. First cat fee is 1.75 lakhs per year likewise increasing . The higher you score in viteee exam the lower your fee . If you score rank below 20000 you can quickly get cat 2 . Scholarship is just for the name sake. Their are three categories of scholarship. First is your rank should be under 4000 in jee mains you get 50% concession on fees . Like why a person with 4k status will come to vit. Second is you should be your state topper in boards third is score 1-100. Rank in viteee.

The annual fest is VIBRANCE it happens every year in February and is one of the coolest college fest and tech fest is TECHNOVIT it organise in September. Both are just fabulous but in vibrance girls and boys are sepererate from each others by baricating. Library is soo big .we have 3 floored library with awesome environment but wifi sucks. Classrooms are not as cool as other colleges but labs are cool. No sports life in campus its very less. Vit do not encourage sport culture . It is extend to somewhat extend. There are more than 200+ societies clubs and group . You will surely get into one of your choice and hobbies.i am currently in dance club.

There are two types of rooms ac and NAC . Price from ac to NAC varies too much. If you are a middle-class child you can manage in the NAC room. Just work in April may Meal quality is average of what you can expect from a mess. But it is edible and you get ice cream twice a week. We have breakfast then lunch then evening snacks then dinner ..also have a night mess but it is paid for. For your information, you are not allowed to stay nearby if you dont live within a 60km radius of the college. We are not allowed to take pgs

You just Prepare for jee mains, Viteee level is low as compared to jee mains . But ranking system is pathetic they give ranks according to themself . Cat 1 and 2 are only worthy rest are just waste of money ....low return on investment. And please prefer vit chennai over vellore as in vellore i talked to some of my mates you aren't allowed outing and campus life is fcuk up their.
